Try connecting camera to computer.
Open My Computer and see if camera shows
If camera does not show then computer is not recognizing the connection, try different port o different cord, or different computer.

If camera icon shows, then right click on icon and select Open.
Navigate to images.
Drag and drop images into a folder.

While icon is still active.
Right click icon, select properties, or select 'open-with', and rummage around to see if there are options telling XP what to do when camera is connected.

Need a driver for sirius USB2.0 camera driver?

Try Dell's website or sirius website.

Get online and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "Dell Support" or "sirius support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when requested. Download and install the Webcam drivers.

You can also try Driver Guide at:

http://www.driverguide.com

You have to open the webcam software to activate or start the webcam. There is no button to push or switch to turn on. The webcam software is somewhere in the program list. Click Start/Programs then search for any reference to webcam or camera. Sometimes the webcam might be inside one of the manufacturers folders in the program list so search the folders for it. Some manufacturers have something like Entertainment Experience that will open and show all the entertainment devices such as the dvd drive, webcam, media player, etc. if you see it click it to launch it then click on the webcam or camera icon.

Try using ManyCam

You can always download Manycam and install it. Go to www.google.com and in the search box type: "download.cnet.com" (without the quotes). Click on the link to go to the site. When the site opens look down on the left and you will see a gray area that says Find Software. Type "Manycam" (without the quotes) in the white search area then hit the search mirror. When it brings back your results look for the one that says ManyCam Virtual Webcam. Down load it and install it. Make sure you remove the check box on any junky programs it would like to install. You only want to install ManyCam, no additions whatsoever during the install. ManyCam is totally FREE and easy to use, and you will always know where your webcam software is.

I have my toshiba satellite M205 and I cant activate my webcam..can you please help me.. thanks in advance

  • INSTRUCTIONAL STEPS
  • Click "Start," then "All Programs" or "Programs," and select the "Toshiba" folder.
  • Click on "Utilities," then "Web camera application." The application will open, although it may minimize automatically to one edge of your screen. If this happens, hover your mouse over the utility to make it open.
  • Click the icon that looks like a camera and video camera to start up the webcam. This will turn the camera on and show you what your image looks like. Click the camera icon to capture a still image, or click the video camera icon to record a video.
  • Click on the icon that looks like a camera with a series of sliders underneath it to open the settings panel. Adjust the brightness, contrast and other settings by clicking on the vertical tabs for each setting and sliding them left or right.
  • Click the icon that looks like a camera with a paintbrush to add special effects. You can enhance contrast, add frames to your image, or select a screen cover that will appear if you want to temporarily hide your image with a photo. Return to this screen and select "off" to remove the screen cover.
  • Click the icon that looks like an ID card to set the face-recognition software that automatically unlocks your computer when the camera recognizes your face. This software is not available on all models of Toshiba laptops, so you may not have this icon. Follow the on-screen prompts to set this feature.
  • Click the icon that looks like a wrench below your image on the video/photo screen to set other properties for the camera, such as the folder where you want images saved and the format you want them saved in. You can also click the resolution menu to adjust resolution.
  • Exit the web camera application by clicking the "X" in the upper-right corner of the window.i hope this post we be helpful, dont forget to leave your comment by saying how helpful this post is

    Lost photos

Plug the camera to the computer. Go to where the images are and- go to Edit. Click on select all. Click on Copy. Now go find the Camera Icon- My Computer an extra Icon should have come up like a drive Click on open -right click in the folder - right click select paste. A word of warning It is possible that having got the images to the card - the camera will not recognize them This is because- depending on the software loaded the imaged will have been altered from EXIF[Camera type image] to JPEG[Computer type image] If this is so delete the images on the card and go online to www.convar.com and download PC-Inspector. Install the program on the computer Run it. Select the Camera with card in it and click on recover. Or simply click on camera and click on recover without back loading- except simply to prove a point.
