Re: Cartridge stall lexmark z705
Please go through the following steps to identify and fix the problem you are experiencing:
- Open the printer cover.
- Remove the cartridges. Check the cartridge area for any foreign objects or debris blocking the cartridge carrier.
- Check behind the cartridge carrier for the encoder strip (transparent strip responsible for the movement of the carrier) and make sure it is seated and not loose in its place.
- Close the printer cover.
- Unplug / re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it.
- When the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first. Then close the printer cover.
- Check for any errors.
- If none, reinsert the other cartridge.
- Replace whichever cartridge is causing the error to appear. You may also try to insert a different known working cartridge to identify if it's a faulty cartridge issue.
- If cartridges are good and no error appears, try to print a document to verify that the problem is fixed.
If the problem continues, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for additional assistance.
