I am trying to install Photoshop 7.0 on my Dell Notebook running vista Business, but I keep getting a error message saying that there is "missing or invalid personalization information". Can anybody please help me, or does anybody know if photoshop is compatible with vista?

Sometimes you can use the Vista drivers for a device. Need more info, drivers 32 or 64bit?

Try formatting your windows into windows vista or windows 7. It might solve you problem.

When a ‘clean’ install is done of Print Shop 22, exactly as described in this FAQ

Print Shop 22 should install on a 64-bit version of Windows 7, with two incidents.

1. If .NET Framework 1.1 is not already installed on the computer, the "Program Compatibility Assistant” in Windows 7 will display this message

can be installed on a 64-bit version of Windows 7, the patch will not fix the problem with the Amyuni Document Converter, as it does on a 32-bit version of Windows 7 (see above). So, it will not be possible to use the 'Save As PDF' option with Print Shop 22 on a 64-bit version of Windows 7. Instead, it will be necessary to install an alternate PDF driver, then Print to PDF, as is described in this FAQ

So far, the only other known incompatibility with Print Shop 22 on a 64-bit version of Windows 7 is that Print Shop 22 cannot be run from a shortcut on the Dell Dock that is provided with many Dell computers. A Print Shop 22 shortcut can be placed on the Dell Dock; but, attempts to start Print Shop 22 from that Dell Dock shortcut will cause several incompatibility messages to be displayed

one problem that could cause this error is lack of administrator rights,

right button click the setup.exe or whatever it called and select run as administrator,

Or if it's Vista try the compatiblity help , right button click the app, select properties and select run as XP service pack2 etc

Windows 7 is your problem Windows 7 is turning out to be like windows vista.

That is correct, it was not installed correctly. Try running setup and choosing FULL and if you get a note that says "Has already been installed" then look for an option to 'reinstall anyway' If that should fail, contact Dell.

Even though this says Elements 6, it still works for 7. The only difference is the TWAIN file is at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 7.0\Locales\en_US\Plug-Ins\Import-Export

try not to delete partition 0 recovery disc, just delete partition 0 operating system

Try deleting all the files from the Photoshop folder in the Adobe folder in Program Files.
Then download a free program called ncleaner. just type ncleaner into google. after you install it, run it and press the Clean System button, then Clean Now. Just click yes when it asks you. Then click back to the main screen, and click find junk. that should get rid of any leftover files from the photoshop install.
