Speakers do not use any drivers. The driver is associated with your sound card, and not the speakers. It is thus importaint for you to identify the sound card in order to find the correct driver. If your computer came with a built in (part of the motherboard) sound card (i.e. it has a blue, green and yellow/pink jack directly on the motherboard) the driver should be on the motherboard CD - refer to the motherboard make and model (usually written on the motherboard) to find the right driver for download if you do not have the CD. If the sound jacks are on a seperate card (PCI) that plugs into the motherboard, see if you cannot read the make and model number from the card itself, and use this to find the right driver for download. Most manufacturers have a support site where drivers for their products are available for download. Ensure that you get the driver for the operating system you use (e.g. XP driver if you use XP etc, as there are normally different drivers for different Operating Systems. A simple Internet (Google) search using the make, model number and the words "audio driver" should put you on the right track.
There are several other reasons the sound may not work, and it may be a good idea to first troubleshoot the source of the problem. e.g. If onboard, the sound could be turned of in the BIOS, the speakers may be faulty and do not work even with correct input, the sound could be muted etc. If you supply more info regarding your sound card and the symptoms, I may be of further assistance.

The driver seems to be unable to launch , this can be caused by a corupt driver file
Try downloading the file again , if the same thing happens , it may be because no previos driver was installed and therefore the updated driver can not update the original display driver
This may be one of those situations where you may need the original driver from the CD
Or it could mean you need to update your display by other means.
Let me know what happens.
Selah.
Can you tell me what monitor you have and what model ?
Most monitors do not require a driver to make their speakers work !
below is an example of a VGA cable with a green tip audio cable as for it's speakers.
the other end is the same with a green tip 1/8 , which plugs into the audio ports of your computer.
