Fixing BD movie disk on UK Ps3

I have a UK PS3,...bought from DUBAI.
I tried playing a BD movie on it.....But it doesnt play.

This is what Happens,....

I put the BRay movie Disk from the US in.....The Icon on BD appears on Movie menu in the PS3 main menu.......

I play the disk....then the screen goes black....and it shows no signal from my HDMI TV.

After like 1 Min...the Warning message part and rating of the movie appears....and then the screen goes into an infinite black screen with no Video output...

Blu ray....games work fine....but no movies...
Please help me resolve this problem!!.....

my ps3 60 gb doesnt even play the ps2 format disc, dvds, and blue ray movies ... but it plays ps3 games but when you try to quit the game screen goes blank again for infinite time

If it does not read Blu-ray disk...then why does Bluray games work?
It must be some other problem.......
The last time I heard, That there was some regional code unlocker disk that we can get to purchase and get the disk to work........

My new 3.15 ps3 won't play blu-ray but will play everything else no problem. no problems to play games or to play normal dvd's. When playing a blu-ray the UNIVERSAL part at the start of the movie plays...

f the Blu-ray Disc does not support 1080p 24Hz video mode, the video output may not display properly.

If a Blu-ray Disc movie is not loading properly or is freezing on a title screen, this may be caused by the PLAYSTATION 3 attempting to download BD-Live content from congested movie studio servers. If you experience this issue, you may choose to temporarily bypass the BD-Live content until the congestion at the movie studio servers has cleared.

Go to Settings icon (Settings) > Video Settings icon (Video Settings) > [BD Internet Connection], select "Confirm". Then reload the Blu-ray movie and the PLAYSTATION 3 will prompt you if you wish to allow the disc to access BD-Live content. Choose to not access BD-Live content to see if the movie will now load. For some reason you seem to think this is a PS3 problem. Why do you think this is a PS3 problem? If you can play PS3 games, then I will say it is not a PS3 problem, as all PS3 games are on Blu-ray, and if you were having problems playing PS3 games, then that could account for the movie not working.

Since only the movie isn't working, I am going to say you have a defective Blu-ray disc. Did you just buy this movie, or have you viewed it before using the PS3? If you have never viewed it on the PS3, then the problem lies in the disc, and you need to take it back and have it exchanged.

If you have played the disc in the PS3 before (the PS3 you are having a problem with, not a different PS3 or Blu-ray player), or you still think it is a PS3 problem, then use the "Disc Troubleshooting" support page. Normally, if a Blu-ray movie will not play, it won't play at all, and it is because the Blu-ray laser has gone out. It sounds to me that the disc is bad, but this is only going on the information you have supplied.

Plays ps2 games but doesnt plays ps3 games or dvds

please verify:

your dvd disc region (must be region free or 1 - for USA)

about ps3 games try:

restoring your system
reinstalling all game data files
re-updating your system
playing blu-ray MOVIES disc, to check a possible problem with your reader .

if the bd movie doesn't work, you have got a possible problem with your bd reader .
then, take it to an assistance center for hardware repair .

it could be the disk have you tried other ones? if the problem persist it could be your ps3 since its new call them up and get another one free of charge

If consol has not been tamperd w/ then ben thing is to send console to sony. If it has been tamperd w/ warranty is void.

Ps3 was playing movies i had burned to disk now it wont

The best way to play burned movies is to copy them onto a memory stick or external hard drive then copy them onto the ps3 i use this method and find the movies play in much higher quality than dvd-r or+r or whatever discs you use

Ps3 playing BD in 720

first try to reset the video refresh output by holding down the power button with the switch in the back on. hold the front power for 13 secs ..you should hear two beeps one 6 secs after the other. if this doesnt work reset system settings on the XMB menu (all the way to the left)
