Light flashing on 2410

unplug the power cord from back of printer and than press and hold the ON button for 30 second, than release the button than connect the power cord and turn on the printer

I am having the same problem. BLinking green light and hour glass only. hp 2410

Please perform the steps given below and check the functionality.

Bypass the surge protector
====================
If the all-in-one is plugged into a power strip, remove it from the power strip and plug it directly into a wall outlet and see if the message still appears.

Power Cycling
===========
1. Verify that the unit is switched on. Unplug the all-in-one from power and disconnect the connection port.
2. Wait 30 seconds.
3. Plug in the power only.
4. Repeat steps 2-4 two more times.
5. On the third time after plugging the unit into power, reconnect the connection port from the all-in-one to your computer.
6. Restart your computer and check the functionality.

When you power on the printer.
See if the scanner light move to the right and then keep on clicking.
If this happen, the scanner head is unable to find home position.
You will have to clean the strip under the glass.
If this only start to happen recently, you could unplug the printer and wait 1 hour.
Replug in the printer will at times stop the clicking.

Click on Hp All in one how to clean scanner glass.
This will bring you to the HP document.

Try the steps mentioned bellow

Unplug the power cord from the All-In-One as well as the power outlet when there is still power in the All-In-One. and wait for atleast 1Min
Plug the power cord directly to a wall outlet without surg protector. (if possible connect it to a different power outlet)
Before connecting the power cord to the All-In-One press and hold the # and no 6 button and then insert the power cord, do not release the keys
until you see a message a reset (if the screen goes blank then release the keys and turn the power on)

Then check and see

there is a pending job queued, unless this file has been released and printed you cannot removed the light from blinking. pls cancell all doc spooled on your pc and select cancell all, press the cancel button on your printer as well then turn off and on your printer

Hi guys. I had the same problem, but looked at this thread. I guess mine was related to the power, because when I moved my plug from a power strip to a wall outlet, it worked fine.

I have a photosmart 2410 also. I found if i unplug the printer for 15 min. then plug it in, it clears the hour glass and restores function.
