Avaya 4606 goes straight to speaker on incoming calls..??

    I am having the same problem with our 5420 or 2420 Avaya as well. Avaya is not a very user freindly website because you have to be a distributor to get help. Dont forget the end user Avaya. We buy your product.

Not too sure about the no dial tone issue, but you can check to see if the DND is turned on...
Press the Blue Superkey and scroll thru till you see DND (Do Not Disturb) is on and shut it off.

Sounds like the phone is working fine. When it displays "Discover 192.168.xxx.xxx" it is looking for the call server (Phone system) and cant find it. Make sure the phones IP is in the same subnet of the phone system. Make sure that the phones IP and the system IP can both be pinged from the network.

Incoming calls goes to voicemail, then to receptionist. Also rings at three extensions at the same time.
It sounds like all the incoming calls are going to a hunt group. This would explain why three extensions ring, then it goes to the receptionist, and then ends up in voicemail.

Try looking for a hunt group that distributes to the three extensions in question, or that only has those 3 extensions active.

DHCP
Press * to program

If you miss it, and the phone comes up....press MUTE 2337#
that will take you to the IP settings.

Is there a "Do not disturb " button on? Or maybe a "Send All Calls". If there is, you will get a stutter dial tone when you go off hook.

Does this happen for both outgoing calls and incoming calls?
