Call Waiting I am using the phone companies call waiting feature rather than the Partner system. How do I get unanswered call waiting call to automatically forward to the voicemail when they are not answered?

If calls are hitting the "callwaiting" then there is no line ringing on the Partner system. If no line is ringing on the Partner system, then your answer is simple, the call will not go to voicemail on the Partner system.

Your option is to add another line to the system

THere are two answers to you question, depending on certain options and conditions.

First, where is the voice mail and where is the call waiting coming from?

1. If Voice Mail (VM) is located in the central office and you have a destination for call forward BUSY/NO ANSWER it will go to CO VM.

2. If Voice Mail on premise (Partner Mail), and you have CF BUSY/NO ANSWER set on your phone, it will go to voice mail....IF the call waiting is coming from another line. The CF and ring count is set in Partner system programming.

3. If you have call waiting coming on the same phone line and don't have CO VM, then you have no voice mail.

My CO codes for VM are 72# for Call Forwarding and *92 for CF Busy.

As Always, YMMV

Yes. Call forwarding is a feature provided by your telephone company, not a feature of any phone, and the procedure is dependent on the company. For some telephone companies, for example, you forward a call by dialing *72, waiting for a second dial tone, then dial the number to which you want calls forwarded. Please contact your telephone company for their exact procedure.

The phones have caller id and it works except not in the call waiting. How to I activate the call waiting-caller id?

You'll need to call your phone company. (Qwest, BellSouth, SBC, it depends on where you live)

Call Waiting ID (or CID-on-Call-Waiting) is a separate feature, possibly with an extra monthly charge, but possibly it just needs a free activation

Caller i.d. doesn't work piece of junk

Please download this manual, and study e.g on page 21 About caller ID If you subscribe to caller ID service from your local telephone company, this feature displays the name and telephone number of the caller before answering a call (even when you are on another call). The caller ID features of this product will work only if you subscribe to caller ID service and both you and the caller are in areas offering caller ID service, and if both telephone companies use compatible equipment. Contact your local telephone company if: • you have both caller ID and call waiting, but as separate services (you may need combined service), • you have only caller ID service, or only call waiting service, • you do not subscribe to caller ID or call waiting services but wish to try them. There may be fees for these services, and they may not be available in all areas. This product can be used without subscribing to either caller ID or combined caller ID with call waiting service, although the caller ID features of this product will not function.

A Partner system is pretty foolproof, but Feature 10 is a Message Waiting programming button. Are you keeping the handset in the base?

It's possible that your # key is stuck. If you're truly at x10 and it's not working, try another command like #407 and see if List Number shows up. If it does, then 103 should work, if not, try another phone in that location.

Lucent Partner 34D phone system with 18D extensions

That doesn't sound good at all. I would first try powering down the system and waiting about 15 seconds or so before powering back up. If the problem remains, the processor was some how damagedand would be best if it was looked at by your vendor.

Ayaya Lucent Partner 18D Cordless call waiting.

The cordless will not work that way. If you hit flash, that will put calls on hold, etc....

The only thing you can do is have the flash button on the 18D itself.

Delete MSG WAITING OFF from screen

You have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

Caller id

This is a feature from your phone company you may have to pay extra for. Caller ID information is normally transmitted just after the first ring. When you are using call waiting there is no ring.
