Hello. I have an Apex Digital model # AT3208S with a manufacturing date of July, 2003.
This morning when I turned on my satellite & TV combination, the Apex would only give a "Blue Screen". My husband and I ran through a gauntlet of troubleshooting, trying to narrow down the problem. On an older TV, we checked the satellite receiver (in case there was some electrical crosstalk occurring), the satellite receiver worked as did the attacged gaming consoles and DVD player.
The Apex is the only one not working properly; it will turn on and we will only receive a blue screen and nothing more.
I have same problem, screen is blue for cable TV, same for DVD and for the S-video imput. The menues works good for adjust the color or the TV lenguages, but I can see only the blue screen.
I can't fix it without seeing the unit but ther blue screen is typically the 'default' when no signal is found so it appears as if the problem is not far from the input of your receiver and one not likely to lend itself to DIY repair.
Some sets, if working but not seeing a signal, will put an error message on the screen such as 'No Signal,' some not.
Can you get any kind of display on the screen such as the menu?
Dumb question, I know.
I won't promise much hope but did you use the same cable to connect your working set as was used with the Apex?
It is very rare to have a cable fail once connected although I have had new cables that were intermittent after the bulk of manufacturing went from Taiwan to Mainland China.
