Looking for a fan motor for this unit.

You have not supplied us with a model number, so, please type in "Sears Parts Direct" into your search engine, and supply them with your model number, and you may look at the schematic.
They will supply for a fan motor, if it is available.
If the machine is made in China, parts may not be available.
God bless your efforts.

I have an ecoquest flair that the fan won't run.

bad capacitor in the control head..if you run it at full speed, you may be able to run it hardwired(but it becomes a safety issue) may need it replaced..

Wt is impedence

Hi,

Electrical impedance, or simply impedance, describes a measure of opposition to alternating current (AC). Electrical impedance extends the concept of resistance to AC circuits, describing not only the relative amplitudes of the voltage and current, but also the relative phases. When the circuit is driven with direct current (DC) there is no distinction between impedance and resistance; the latter can be thought of as impedance with zero phase angle.

For more details, refer to :-

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

We have model 11502 air purifier. Recently turned it on and it ran for a few minutes and then stopped. Motor sounded fine- no squealing, didn't slow down before it went off- just stopped like it was...

Yes there is a thermal cutoff that will shut the motor off for a period of time to protect it from getting to hot. If this is what happened after 20-30 mins. the motor should come back on and run again. If it does I would try to clean motor as best I could using a soft brush, vacumn, and blow out with air if possible. Clean fan of f as best you can to help motor run cooler.Hope this helps.Thank you

Fans not working

Yeah, I had this happen to one of mine, the motor bearing siezed. Even though mine had run out of warranty and I kludged a fix for it Oreck replaced it anyways after inspecting the unit.

Temporary kludges that worked: light machine oil on the motor bearing, flipping the motor over internally, turning the unit on its edge so that it rides on a 'fresh' part of the bearing, running the unit on 'high' while I was out of the house.

Fan Noise

Your fan motor probably needs additional maintenance, in the way of lubrication.

After removing the unit from power, access the Fan blade and spin with finger. If there is any resistance to note then the spindle running through 2 bearing surfaces needs lubrication.

See the other question/answer to fan removal - motor lube.

If you have any sort of humidity to contend with and have a FreshAir model F1 or earlier different type, they seem to have some corrosion problems after a period of a couple years.

It is just a function of the machine/job that necessitates such maintenance.
