Integra dtr 6.6, left channel audio only on all but "Direct" listening modes in tuner, dvd and cd settings. pls help/suggestions

Make sure the input setting is set to 'Auto' while on those channels and not Analog.

SOURCE: Left channel out

There are NO mechanical pots on the system. The "pots" for volume are a special bitsequence comparator, and the signal for the gain on the amp is a modulated matrix signal.

The most common problem for this kind of amps are the safety-thermal switch... They are normally located really close to the output for the speakers. Normally gray or black boxes (30x10x40mm). Flick your finger on them with volume at 9 o'clock...

If you can hear a click, and the sound appear again you've found the sollution.

NOTE! Hazardous currents are present inside the cabinet, mind your fingers, arms and other bodyparts.

make sure the (a) speakers are switched on,this may be a switch on the front panel or in the main set up menu.

SOURCE: Onkyo receiver TX-DS696

If you get sound on direct mode say from dvd but no sound when you go to dolby make sure you have the right input selected by pressing the digitat input button on the front of the amp,ie if dvd optical out is pluged into amp optical input 1 select this on amp then set audio to prologic2.DVDs through this input will decode to dolby digital/dts.
