I've been playing dead island for the ps3 since its release and there are many connection problems with the game. When I first started it was easy to join another game but ever since that day all other games have been grayed out and I have anybody else join my game. It worked fine last night but it started again today. I have friends that are mere miles away in the same city and still have connection problems.

You can try clear your movie data from the discs you\'ve played (according to Fox that\'s sometimes the culprit when a disc won\'t even load): restart your PS3 and go to the video menu and scroll up to the BluRay Data section. Go into it and check that it has saved some info for your movies. Now deleted all the data in this folder except the shared data crap, and hopefully your movies start perfectly!!
If that fails try the following:
In the XMB(menus) go to Settings ---> BD/DVD Settings ---> BD 1080p 24 Hz Output (HDMI). Turn that off. This has also been known to work.
my solution would have to be either get a diagnostics test with your company that provided the product or check if wires are not where they should be and heres a bonus soloution check if you have any settings not properly adjusted or just exchange it for a new one
Well it sounds like those 2 game packs might have something wrong internally or the battery that saves your game data is either dying or is dead then. So you. Could buy new game packs to see if it works. Luke games
Is your CD dirty or does it have any cracks? It might just be the problem. Otherwise, it could be corrupt game data. Clean the disc, if it still doesn't work I'd try deleting the game utility data and re-downloading it. Hope this helps in some way or another.
The tv probably does'nt have a fast enough refresh rate to work with games properly. It should be in the manual for the tv, the lower the number the better. I think it's 12 milliseconds on that tv. Have a look here:Response Rates.
The only thing I can think of is that the disc is scratched but you only played it once so I dont see how that could be the problem. Try seeing if there is any patches for the game or the system and go from there.
