My BBL410 blender started smoking and stalled out. Now it won't run again. Is there a reset switch or did the motor burn out? What are the repair options?

Sounds like motor is burned out. Very few parts left for that model, nothing electrical.
That model is no longer listed on their support site http://brevilleusasupport.com/

Blender is spinning but not crushing ice and smoke coming out of bottom

Smoke sounds like the motor is burned out, or possibly just overworked. You could let it rest for 15 minutes and try again, but be careful, as the insulation on the wires could have melted.
Smoke in appliances is usually a bad sign!

I tried to blend large piece of the frozen mango. It won't move and I continue trying . I smell little burned and the machine wont move again.

It sounds as if the motor has burned out. You may need to purchase a new blender or send it to the manufacture for repair if it's still under warranty.

I was grinding rice......after that fumes came out and its not working now

Hi,
The motor has burnt up... you will need to replace the blender.
There is an old saying that motors run on smoke...once the smoke comes out of the motor the motor will no longer run... :-)

That burning smell is kind of a death sentence. At least a switch or more likely coils are burnt out.

Waring pro wpb blender emit burning smoke and smell when i was blending ...

Obviously the motor winding is burned out. it needs to be rewound. This is can be done only by repair men who regularly wind motors.

All blenders have one thing in common. They draw more than rated current when running slow. If u continued using it inspite of noticing low speed then the it results in burnt motor winding as is the case now.

Also the blenders should not be run on no load, which will cause meahanical damage to fan and bearings.

Jack La Lanne's Health Master 100

First determine..if it is indeed the motor that is fried. Do this by not using the caraffe. Plug in the motor and run it by itself. If it runs fine without smoking again..It is the caraffe that is defective.
If its the motor you are out of luck completely. Jack Lalanne is out of business.
If it is the caraffe..which I suspect it is not...oil the rim of the bearing that is on the outside of your caraffe ..it surrounds the knurled part that is inserted into the blender...even if you are able to get the motor repaired..get in the habit of oiling the caraffe bearing after each time you use it. If you dont it will fail within months to a year of use
Lalanne had they made in China..and using unsealed bearinga that rust out and the contents of the blender come out!! So I discovere dthat oiling that part each time after use..keeps my blender running smoothly.
You might want to take yoru motor to a small appliance repairman..he might find something simple happened.. like a loose wire connection inside! If he does...you have a simple solution and a motor that works!
Remember to oil the bearing a couple drops each time after use...and if yoru caraffe ever fails you can buy a new one..( Oil that one too!) at Cooking Toys..you can google for the address

My rarely used Sunbeam Blender Model #4181 stopped working

It sounds like one of a number of things...

* The contacts in the switches fried
* The motor itself fried
* The controller section fried

If you saw smoke, something fried... probably cheaper to simply replace the unit. Even if it still worked, it's a 120V electric appliance used with liquids, and I wouldn't trust it... I'd hate to hear that your blender started a kitchen fire.
