I am having a problem with my wine cooler also.I found the upper evap fan not running. So i opened up the control board and plugged the fan that was not working into one of the other 2 sockets, and the fan worked.so i have a circuit board problem. If you go online to sears parts and repair.put in your model# and search,it will bring up a diagram of most of the parts available. And no it doesnt have to be a GE product.

SOURCE: U-line 15" wine cooler not cooling, but light is on.

If the light is on and no fan or compressor is running then its your thermostat that is bad. Thats the only thing that turns on those parts.

Is there a replacement circuit board for the Cuisinart CWC-1600 unit?

The actual manufacturer of the circuit board out of China does not seek direct, but you may be able to order a replacement board through cuisinart support. More than likely your board is fine, but rather your power supply has failed. Check my post on how to replace the power supply for under $20

Cuisineart CWC-600 wine cooler no power

Yup you bet, all you need to do is connect a $15 temperature control you can get from any appliance store, fix it to the back of the machine and find a way to ge the probe into the fridge, wire it In series with the compresser and bang you have a working cooler. If you need more info just let me know Good luck

Unplugged the wine cooler to move for painting. When we re-plugged it in it was not working at all. Took off the back and cleaned out any dust from the fan. All of the wires look like they are in place....

First check your breakers. Sometimes re plugging an item can cause a surge and pop the breaker. Maybe some paint might have gotten in the outlet and preventing a clean contact. If all fails, try plugging in the unit in another outlet to see if the problem lies within the outlet or the wine cooler.

My Cuisinart cwc-600 does not cool. It registers 45 degrees but is not cold enough to make white wine palatable. No matter where it is set, it seems to be a room temperature. We live in a small house so...

I have been all through these, and they are not very repair friendly. If it's under 3 years old Call Cuisinart, they will exchange it.

They are solid state cooled using a peltier chip cooler. There are 2 fans in the back cavity, and 1 inside. Remove everything from inside, and set the temp to cooling. Do all 3 fans run? If the inside fan does not run, no cooling. The fans are common 2 wire 12 volt computer fans, and available at computer parts stores that sell PC cases and components. Next is to check the cooler itself. Remove the inside rear cover. There's heatsink under the inside fan. Does it get cold when the fridge is running? If not, the next step you will need to get the back off. The Torx screws are special, but a quick slotting of the screw heads with a dremel or a hacksaw, and a regular screwdriver will remove them. Once off, note the red/black fan wires. Also see if there is a load of dirt in the heat sink. If it's plugged, no cooling. Back to the red/black wires. The fan wires are thin. The peltier cooler is heavier. Set to cool, Check for 12 volts on all 3 pairs of wires. If there's power, the fans run (inside and out) and the inside heat sink does not cool, the peltier chip is bad. It's major surgery to replace the cip, but it can be done, and there are scads of sellers on E-bay selling 60-90 watt peltier coolers that will work. They are standard millimeter square sizes, just match the thickness, 12-15 volts, and wattage (around 60-90).

If you are not getting power on the peltier cooler chip lines, there is a tiny fuse on the lower left of the circuit board. Check it.

These are not servicable from cuisinart. Even the silly screws to change the light bulb are security torx type. Fans are available at computer parts stores. Fuses at electronic supplies. The peltier chip can be had from E-bay. That circuit board is impossible to get. Any other parts are impossible to get to by the way it's built.

Wine cooler displays temperature setting but does not run or cool wine.

It's 1 of 3 things...

A. The fans are not turning. Remove the back, and see if the fans are getting 12 volts, and spinning freely. Remove them and clean off the dust from the heat sink.
B. The Peltier Chip is shot. If the fans run, check for 12 volts on the power connector that's on thelower left of the curcuit board. If there's power, but no cooling, the Peltier is shot. These are available from E-bay for ~$13, but it's a major dissassembly to get it out.
C. If you don't get 12 volts to the fans or the Peltier chip, replace the circuit board.
