Question about Samsung DVD-R130 DVD Recorder

Problem with samsung dvd player.....

When I set ?timer recording? for a program, occasionally I get an error message. The error message will be ?system error is detected? and underneath that there will be the following line: Be file:\sh_vrrm_taks.c line:520 Sensecode (4:9:0); detail:0x0 The dvd will not have turned off with above mentioned error message. Some times it will have finished recording the program and sometimes not. I will not be able to use the dvd player at that point, the only way that I can clear the error message and access the menu is by unplugging it and plugging it back in. Is this dvd problem? (Memorex dvd-rw rewritable 2x, 4.6 gb, 120 min) Any help would be greatly appreciated, Dan

Same problem on multiple Samsung DVD-R130 recorders. Seems to happen later in the product's life (it didn't happen when the players were new). Maybe it has something to do with the lens getting dirty or something else inside the recorder/player wearing out.

Same problem here. I've had it for some time after the warranty expired. Seems to happen to RW disks used a few times, not nearly the 1,000 or so recordings promised.

What is the model number of your dvd player? i suggest try to use DVD-R types. and try resetting the unit if this will help.

Problems recording on LG RHT49H HDD

There may be plenty of space in the HDD but you can only set a certain number of timers. Delete a less important timer setting to make room.

Hi there anil! My name is Kimberly and I form part of the Social Media Department with DISH, It is my pleasure to assist you. When watching an already recorded event and having a timer set up to record it should not interrupt your viewing of that DVR event. When this happened, did you get an error message on the screen? And has this happened again? Please reach me at: [email protected] with the details.

Hello

When operating, errors happen. Turn off the device.

(To turn off, press and hold the power button on the front
of the device for 10 seconds.)

After turning off, press the Open button and remove the
disc from the device
If needed reset the device to its factory settings after the disc is ejected. To reset it to factory settings:

Press the [UP] and [DOWN] buttons on

your DVD recorder simultaneously

when the power is on. All settings

including the password will revert to

the factory settings. Do not use this

unless absolutely necessary.

(Note that this function is possible only
when no disc is inserted.)
ok.

Lost manual. Cannot get HR A591U JVC VCR program to record a future cable tv program. Seems I have tried everything but it does not record as I set up. It will record an existing show by pressing...

Timer Recording JVC VCR HR A591U
Timer recording can be programmed on-screen with
the remote control. The built-in timer allows automatic
unattended recording of up to 8 programs within 1
month.

EXAMPLE: Program a timer recording for the 26th day,
channel 125 (CATV), 11:00 - 11:30 PM on timer program
number 1 (Tape speed: EP).

When a TV is connected with an audio/video cable, turn the
TV and this VCR on and select the video input mode on the
TV.

• After timer recording is completed, the VCR turns off
automatically.
• You can program the timer recording while a regular
recording is in progress; the menu screens will not be
recorded.
• The timer recording will start at 20 seconds before the time
you predetermined.

Press MENU on the Remote.
Check the “TIMER REC SET”
option is selected, then press
ENTER.

Press SET –/+ to select one of
the program lines, then press
ENTER.

Press SET –/+ to select the
date, then press ENTER.

Set the start time, end time,
channel and tape speed as in
step 3.
NOTE: To record from external
source, press SET –/+
and set the channel to
"L". "L" will appear next
to CH 125 (or 69).

To enter other programs,
repeat step 2 through 4. Or,
press MENU twice to return
to the normal screen.

Press TIMER on the Remote.
The power will go off, the
TIMER REC indicator ( ) will
light and the VCR stands by
for recording.

To cancel a program:

Press the SET –/+ to select the
“TIMER REC SET” option in the
MENU. Then press SET –/+ to
select the unnecessary program,
and press CANCEL to cancel the
program.

The receiver hard drive is comparable to a computer hard drive. When a problem is detected with the hard drive, the receiver will give an error message stating a problem has been detected. Depending on the severity of the problem, sometimes it will show that unplugging the receiver for 1 minute will resolve the issue. Other times, a message will state that the hard drives needs to be reformatted, which will erase all content on the hard drive. It sounds like this is what happened to your recordings. If unplugging the receiver did not resolve the issue, we may need to replace the receiver. Please call 1-800-333-3474 and speak to a Technical Support agent.
