Incorrect Disk Format Error Message

I just bought a FPE1505 TV and when I put a DVD in with the label facing as instructed, I get an error message that says "Incorrect Disk Format". What the heck could be the problem? Thanks.

First of all, the DVD player is your input device, and that's where you should be posting. The TV is passive, it just displays an error message from the DVD, that can't read that specific Disk. Does it happen with every DVD, or with some? is there anything common with the DVDs that won't play? burnt? certain zone? A dirty lense can often cause problems like this. Opening the player and brushing dust off the lens is the only thing you can do yourself. Otherwise take it to the lab. Good luck

I mean, the DVD player is the one giving the TV it's input.

Bought my onn DVD PLAYER from Walmart Super store, Sierra Vista ,Az. Two days ago. Worked fine, until last night--- An error code of (no disc) appears it (error disc) How do I fix this??? It's Christmas...

Hello, Julie -

1. I hope you checked the user manual for your DVD player to determine if your problem is in the list of troubleshooting issues.

2. Check if the disk you put into the DVD player is compatible to play in your machine. Did you try to play a Blu-Ray disk in the DVD player? If so, trying to play a non-compatible disk will result in in the No Disk or Error message.

3. Make sure the compatible disk is inserted into the player tray with the readable side of the disk facing downward.

Best wishes.

Solutions to incorrect disk error c105 & c104

Hello gjbrokke,

First make sure the disc is compatible with the dvd player (CD-R+ , or CD-R - )

Second make sure the region code of the dvd you burned is compatible with the dvd region settings on your dvd player.

One of those two are preventing the disc from playing in your sansui player.

HDD Error

Since my last post, I have rectified the problem.....

1) I opened the unit to find a seagate HDD
2) I downloaded the Seatools in dos format and burned the image on to a cd rom
3)Taking out the HDD from my recorder,I hooked it up to another pc and ran the seatools disk @ bootup.
I tried for 2 hrs to repair the bloody thing ( 160 gb!) so i gave up and tried to erase the full HDD...which worked.
4) on my laptop i navigated to Pioneers site and found my recorder along with instructions and a zip file that contained 2 files.
5)After reading the destructions erm i mean instructions ;) I put the HDD back into the recorder and followed the instructions again..

Crossing my fingers i turned the recorder back on and to my amazement i was able to have more functionality..BUT... it says my HDD name error so I ran the disk again and wallah! all worked XDDDD

Here are the links

http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/content/support/support/update/DVR.html check if your model is there.

I hope you fix yours XD

Dvd do not record

The unit is saying that its an "Un-format disc" problem. Is this the only error code you are getting? Also, what types of DVDs are being used? As in, DVD-R DVD-RW DVD+R DVD-RW and what speeds? 1x 2x 4x 8x 16x?

Disk unkown error message

If other dvds play then try getting the same movie but from another supplier if it persists the check yo dvd if it uses a dvd ROM then replace it with anew one.
