I have the same problem with a Jetway Nvidea AGP card N6800AD256. I BOUGHT IT NEW FROM 3bTECH.NET

If so, it might be a counterfiet Jetway card, as Jetway says my boards part and serial number doesnt match their number system.

The computer wont boot up, it just beeps continously. IF OTHER CARDS WORK OK IN THE SLOT, the board is bad.

My Primary DVI port died when running a new LCD w/Dsub converter. Only Seconday port is working. The primary is receiving a signal (see size change in blackness during boot). How can I get Primary DVI back or is my 6800 PCI-e now half-dead for good?

If their is still a problem your graphics card has not been set as the default display device. keep the graphics card plugged in, restart the computer and as soon as it starts up go into (BIOS) which is the delete key on most computers. The bios screen will appear as a light/dark blue. Scroll through the menu's and find where it say: AGP port selected or something femilliar and change it until it comes up with PCI-E (meaning PCI express) and click done and save and exit, the computer will then automatically restart and the graphics card should start up and display colours on screen.

I hope this helps resolve the problem, if you are having any other problems feel free to contact me on hear or by email to: [email protected]

I'm having the same problem with my AGP version of that video card, and am also running Windows XP. How can I use the Add Hardware wizard when I can't even boot up the machine with my new video card? I uninstalled the previous one, but the computer still just hangs at bootup.

Hi lucky9ball, This is a great card, that requires you to plug in a power plug from your power supply to the card directly. If you have already done this, short your CMOS pins to reset your bios. Let me know how it works. Best regards, nightdiver

Does it the first time to be installed in your PC ? Which OS do you run in your PC.

Go to the "Control panel" , choose the "AddHardware" icon
and follow the instruction relates for a new hardware.
If it will not help - replace card's location (other PCI connector) on the motherboard (be aware you should disconnect first power cable to PC) restart the PC and see does the PC find a "new hardware".
Let me know if you will need for any more assistance.
    Good luck !

GeForce 8600 GT 256MB DDR3 PCI Express Graphics Card doesn't work

contact the shop / place you purchased it from and they should be able to give you info of where to send it and what to do - they should have a section on there website where you can go through the return process and you will most likely need to get an RMA number to authorise the return / replacement.

Is my Motherboard compatible?

Probably not. There is not quite enough information in your post to really help, but from what I'm finding on the GeForce 6800 GT, it is only available in PCI-Express and AGP 8x (AGP3.0) Versions. Your motherboard only supports AGP 1x, 2x and 4x (AGP2.0) cards.
