Hello, So this fryer flame are orange, hey. The air intake needs to be cleaned and the flame regulator needs to be set. Don't do your self. Have a state certified technician HAVC clean it and set the flame. In a majority of the States and Cities to work with Natural/LP gases. You'll need to be certified and test and license by the state and the have permit by the city to work with gas.

We call this BY-HOYF "burn you hair off of your face" Please have a professional do this work for you, it could cost you more than the hair on your face. I wish you luck...GB..stewbison

The opening of the jets is too large. Solutions:
    1. Replace the jets by a greater number that is a smaller hole. They can be up to nine jets on Frymaster fryers brand. Option 2: Remove the bronze jets and fill the holes with tin solder in common use in plumbing and drill holes. They recorded with numbers the size. the bit to be used to make the hole indicated. For example, a hole was drilled # 56 with # 56 drill bit. The correct size of hole is determined by the pressure and volume of gas, so re-drill this hole is not too difficult process. Given that the smaller sizes are equivalent to drill larger holes, the holes for natural gas range from # 54 to # 31, while propane holes ranging from # 62 to # 48. Opening experience from the smallest size using a sharp rod 1/16 "as a needle or ice pick. If natural gas or LPG Propane Butane. In no high-temperature jets for the gas outlet and not the cooled pewter melts. fully open the floodgates air. there adjustable jets, they have insert a needle to rotate open or close the hole. Always check for leaks with soapy water. My job is that for 8 years have modified fryers and ovens. I've never had accidents. Luck.

Jets in Spanish is "Espreas". Sometimes named "Boquillas" mostly in oxigeno-acetileno welding equipment.

My lpg fryer IFS40 burns yellow flame and on the recent inspection tech supposedly found corroded heat exchanger. The fryer is only half a year old and still under warranty but the imperial only offer

The heat exchanger might be a result of the yellow flame but not the cause of it burning yellow. I would guess it is the amount of air being mixed with the gas. Most burners have a slotted metal air mixture ring on the front of the burner near the brass orfice, you are calling a jet. There is a locking screw to release the ring so it can turn to adjust the amount of air being mixed with the gas. If this doesn't fix the yellow flame it could be a gas pressure problem that could be the external regular in the gas line. Not sure if you are talking about the pilot flame or the burner flame or both? A tech should know how to adjust the air mixture.

Are Propane LPG fryers compatible with Butane LpG

Talk to the manufacturer or check your owners manual. The jets in the burner must be slightly smaller for butane. The flame will burn yellow with black soot/smoke if you don't change them.

Why does my burners not ignite into a blue flame

The color of the flame can be affected by a few different things. here are three of them: 1. If there is a food substance contacting the burner where the flame comes out, this will give the flame an orange tint. 2. If the propane is being burned at a very high rate, the flame can become invisible in daylight-like conditions. 3. If the propane is being burned at a very low rate it can also have an orange tint. Hope this is clarifying.

Orange flame

A orange flame means that not enough air is mixing with the gas to produce a nice clean burning blue flame. Try cleaning out any deposits of grease or anything else that could be blocking the air pathway to the flame.

Orange flame and only burning at half flame

That's a nice unit! You need to clean out the jet openings with a very thin piece of wire and, while you are at it clean off the whole grill so that no particles get trapped near the jets.

Turkey fryer is burning rich w/ yellow flame and cannot be regulated to blue by air mix plates

first check the gas regulator is the presher right? then try cleaning out all the pipe work and the burner jets i bet you have a dead spider stuck in the gas pipe as it enters the burners,,this would upset the air to gas mix,,so its running on a rich gas mix

RED HOT FLUE EXHAUST

Hello. Yes this is normal for this type of fryer, meant more to cook the product, as efficiently as possible, and guzzle gas pretty good. If the orange is near the bottom of the flue, that is pretty good, there is , or should be insulation on the outside of the flue, or if the air gap is large enough, no insulation at all. Not getting near the exhaust pipe is advisable, or you will be burned. The gas pressure is important thought, if the burners are over/under pressured, it will affect the burn enough to damage, and shorten the life of the fry vessel. Call a local authorized servicer and have a check up, will not be free, but will save expense of something not being correct, most places, you pay an hour to check it good enough.

Hope that helped, and thank you.
