My wife stated she turned the TV on about a week ago and she heard a buzzing sound in the speakers and then the sound went out on the tv. I'm trying to figure out how to get it a loose and see if there are any fuses in there that might be blown. I'm not even for sure if this model TV have fuses.

Re:
I doubt if it has fuses as most sets have what are called fusable resistors and these as fuse hardly ever go bad for no reason. these devices are there to protect the rest of the set incase of a short and to stop it from blowing up or burning. Fuses or fuseable resistor go our because of a short circuit. In your case the sound output IC or the capacitor assciated With it. Good luck

Red light comes on but then the tv is playing but after about 3 hours it just goes out but I can still hear the sound then if I go back after about 4 to 5 hours if I turn it on it plays no problem. Now the lamp just went. I think before replacing the lamp maybe I should replace cooling fan also.
Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
