Kenmore natural gas range, model #362.7361190

When I turn my oven of it never reaches the set temp. If I set the oven to 350 it only reaches about125-150, and if I set the oven to 400, it may only reach200. But when I set the temp to 500 or above it almost always reaches that temp. I have a thermometer hanging on one of the racks to verify the internal temp. Please help me if you can!! Laura in AR

My oven heats up, but then does not maintain the temp.

If it has a pilot then I would say the thermal couple is bad. If it has a glow type ignitor then the ignitor is bad.

Oven won't reach proper temperature and hold

If the element glows its ok , if you have replaced the sensor with a new one it can only be the control board. in some cases you can adjust the temp. through the control , it should list directions to do so in the manual. Good luck

Oven will not hold a constant temp.

a faulty bake ignitor would not allow the unit to maintan temp , very common issue with all gas ranges

GE Spectra XL44 oes not heat to desired setting

The oven sensor ( WB21X5301) is suppose to tell the oven control when to turn on and off to reach and maintain oven temp, but before you go replacing it, try to observe how long it takes from the time you turn the oven on to the time the oven ignites. Ignition should be 30 seconds to about 90 seconds. If it is taking a very long time, replace the igniter (
WB2X9154
). Ignitors get weaker over time, and this should be looked at first, as both parts are not real cheap, so you don't want to just start throwing parts at it. Here is a trick you can try: On the JGBP90 (model you posted under) the broil ignitor is the same part number as the oven ignitor, so if the broiler, which is generally used much less than the oven, is working fine you can interchange the two ignitors to see if that solves your oven temp problem without having to buy a oven temp sensor first.

Temperature control

sounds like a bad bake ignitor(uneven heat, long cook times, long preheat times, perhaps even gas smell while cooking)
