Question about Toshiba MW27FN1 27 in. TV/VCR/DVD Combo

1 Answer

I can not get a TV signal to work with the Toshiba through coax.

I just got a Toshiba 27 inch TV/DVD/VCR combo. The DVD and VCR works great but I can not get a TV signal through the Coax. Since I have Satilite and this is my second tv I should just need to put it on Channle 60. I also tried the second channel that Direct tv lets you use. Any advise would be great. Also I do not have the remote for this TV.

Bill24 sorry to be the one to tell ya but you need to go into setup on the tv to setup the channels in the menu and the memory and the only way is to do it with an original remote. BUT your in LUCK. http://remotes.com or 1-800- remotes has the remote you need for $27.38 + shipping. Good Luck

Would like to record from my tv to my magnavox dvd/vcr combo box

If I understand your request right, You do not have cable or satellite box.
You can not record from your TV. You use the TV as a monitor from the dvd/vcr combo box. What the box receives is what shows on the TV. So you will have to have a digital convertor hooked to the (antenna in) dvd/vcr combo box, (antenna out to the tv antenna in) Depending on the antenna you are using that is on the other end of your cable-in coax connection this will hook to your antenna in on the digital convertor box. If your cable is hooked up and operating correctly and directly to the tv that is digital ready you probabbly have a good picture. When the vhf/uhf signal was transmitted you could go from the dvd/vcr to the tv with no problem. But now that the signal is digital and the tv is set for digital the dvd/vcr will not pass a digital signal to the tv. Best suggestion, you have to get a digital dvd/vcr receiver. If you have more question please contact me.

I have a samsung dvd vcr combo connected to a jvc tv but when i have press play i get no screen for either video or dvd the dvd runs but no recpetion

If you are connecting the dvd/vcr combo to the tv with coax cable first make sure the tv is on channel 3 and also make sure you have the samsung dvd/vcr combo on channel 3 by using the remote that came with the samsung. You should get picture and sound then if not try channel 4 on tv instead of channel 3. If that doesn't work try to put the samsung on channel 4 as a last option to try. This is only recommended if the combo is hooked to tv with coax cable out of combo to in on tv. Make sure coax is plugged into the out jack on combo and in on tv.

Memorex television is not working with my new Phillips DVD/VCR combo

depending on how you hooked it up; if thru coax cable the you have to use channel 3 or 4 on the tv to use Philips. If you are connecting with video and audio cables then you have to select a/v input on tv to use.

20 INCH TOSHIBA DVD VCR COMBO, DVD KEEPS READING BUT NEVER DOES

I was having the same issue and I've been to several video stores to rent DVDs and 2 out of 3 rentals have the same affect where it is just 'reading' but even worse, it would play fine and then freeze up during the movie- very frustrating. Now, after 3 years of owning it, it died today. They just don't make them the way they used to :(
