Now u put in a DVD movie disc into the DVD player slot. The DVD disc still register on the tv LCD screen, but just don't read the DVD disc?Yes.Tries websites like Amazon.com,Ebay.com to buy a DVD cleaning disc kit to used to clean the DVD laser eye of the DVD player slot, after this it should work.If tv still have the same result, than this tv problems DVD player slot can't be fix or worth fixing because the DVD player slot laser eye is bad or dead alredy.
I had the same problem with the same unit when I first bought it a few months ago.
First up remove the DVD. If the TV stations do not appear within a couple of seconds press the "TV" button (top, second from left) on your remote control.
sounds like you need a new remote. that circuit board is not too happy when it's crushed in like that. You might be able to make it work, but don't count on it.
I experienced the same approx. 1/2" vertical stripe on a Viewsonic vx1945 and ATI Radeon x1050 video adapter on Vista Business SP1, but the stripe appeared along the left edge of the screen, instead of right edge. I then temporarily decreased the monitor resolution, and the stripe went away. I then increased the monitor resolution back to its original setting, and the stripe did not re-appear. So, that was the 'fix' in my situation, hope this helps.

I am assuming you connect to your LCD TV with VGA or DVI cable?
You may also have to press Fn+F5 (or some other combo) to enable the vga/DVI out on your computer. You may also have to change the resolution for the secondary display (the TV)
if u can see other programs then the problem will be due to the signal fail the cable connecting may be faulty and it is very rare for a new player u check it with a new cable and change the pal and ntsc it may also make the picture correct
