Use free or commercial DVD ripping software to create a computer file copy of your DVD and then transfer this file to a USB flash drive. You can use Leawo Blu-ray Copy, a DVD to USB copy software to accomplish DVD to USB drive copying

Hi,
Explore the DVD and just copy the files with VOB extension to USB Stick. These are the Video Files and can be played on any PC. You may also use Any DVD Ripper Software to extract the video from DVD and convert it to any other format such as avi.

Hope it helps! Good Luck! Thanks for using Fixya!

Can't installed leopard 10.5 on my ibook g4 from a DVD I download it on?

Purchase an 8GB (or larger) USB memory-stick.
On a different computer, copy the entire contents of the DVD onto the memory-stick. Connect the memory-stick to the Apple computer, and install from that media.

Sandisk ultra backup 8 GB recording & retreiving advice

The files will be replace if you use the same exact file name, but it will ask you first. You can "explore" - right click - from "my computer" - right click - and find the drive that has your flashdrive.. double click on that drive and the contents of your flashdrive will show up.. You will NOT receive a notice, but every time you add a file , it should show how much space is remaining...

Repeated use

in the settings for back ups you can select files and folders to back up
the back up timing can be set from immediate to hourly , daily weekly even momthly
some back up systems copy and others copy and replace so ask around what your back up is going to be
My back up does everything every week and backs up onto a 1tb external hard drive
you should get an alert that reads something like-- unable to do back up because of insufficient space
or the same message if you try to download something onto a usb stick that is not big enough for the down load

Purchased a Technika Model 19-220. 8 months ago never used the DVD recorder because we never had freeserve. Now we are connected to Freeserve the DVD will play DVD's but no accept blanks for recording...

Thanks for posting to Fixya and it is my pleasure to guide you.

"Will not accept blanks for recording it says No Disc."

from Technika manual: Start Quote
VCR/DVD Recorder; I have connected the TV to my VCR or DVD Recorder via SCART but it is not recording. In addition to connecting via SCART, you should connect the aerial cable from the wall socket to your VCR/DVD Recorder and another aerial cable from the VCR/DVD Recorder to the TV." Also; "Check the DVD is a region 2 disc - to change the region of the DVD player, refer to section 'Changing Regions'.

Note: USB record function is only avilable in Digital/Freeview TV/Radio mode. Due to copyright laws and illegal copying/recording it is not possible to record to/from any other input/output source.

DVD MENU: To access this menu, press [MENU] button on the remote control. TV System - Choose from the following options. NTSC; Normally used for discs from North America, Japan etc.
Auto; For both NTSC and PAL. This TV/DVD player is pre-set to play Region 2 DVDs.
Tip: This television contains one TV tuner, therefore it can only record the channel you are watching or record one channel while the television is in standby mode.

Tip: This TV/DVD player is pre-set to play Region 2 DVDs.
End Quote

You can not record to a DVD, according to their manual. That is why you get the no disc error. It does not have the play sector at the beginning of the DVD. You can record to USB Flash Drive however.

Quote:
USB RECORD - DIGITAL/FREEVIEW MODE
Built into this television is a USB record facility. This function is available in Digital/Freeview mode when used in conjunction with a compatible USB memory stick or USB Hard drive. The benefi ts of this are as follows:
• Pause live TV/Radio and then playback, fast forward and rewind (up to live TV)
• One button record, if you decide you want to record the current programme
• Easy programmable recording from the 7 day TV Guide
• Record TV/Radio and watch/listen back on your computer/laptop
Due to the nature of the product, it is necessary to use a high speed USB memory stick (as the TV reads from and writes to the memory stick at the same time, some memory sticks may not be suitable). You can purchase high speed memory sticks from some computer stores, alternatively, we have a selection of tested and compatible memory sticks available to purchase directly from the helpline/web site. These are available in 4GB, 8GB and 16GB. (Please check the web site/helpline for latest specifications and prices). End Quote

Good luck and please post back that you this has solved your problem and click thumbs up of your success or that I can be more helpful.

I have a sandisk 8gb usb stick, I am tryind to copy files from windows xp to it but cant, i keep getting file not specified error. I can copy over small files on to it but nothing big. I know the stick is...

You need to re-format your Flash Drive. The default is FAT32 which only allows files of up to 4GB to be transfered. If you reformat to NTFS, ANY size file can be copied to your FLASH DRIVE.

WARNING ! ! By reformatting, you will loose ALL your data on your Flash Drive. Good Luck

Not able to copy movies on Sony 8GB Memory Stick Pro Duo for PSP

Before you go throwing any old video file onto your PSP, make sure you have the following items:
  • The PSP. This is self-explanatory.
  • The .MP4 video files.
  • Video conversion software to convert non-MP4 files to MP4, the format the PSP reads.

I have a Cruzer Sandisk memory that worked before, but not anymore

If there's nothing on the drive you don't already have backed up, right click on it and select format in my computer.

If you need the files off it and do not have backup copies then you can either send it to the pros for data recovery or gamble on purchasing software that may fix it for a little less money.

Let me know which it is and I'll provide you with more details.

Pioneer DVR 640 H

You may have CDs stored in the Jukebox taking up space- if so delete them.

You may have images stored in the photoviewer - again, delete...

Have you done any disc backups, and forgot to delete the backup file? Goto bottom of copy menu for disc backup, then in the disc backup menu, choose delete backup file.
