sounds like a major fault with the line output transformer/power board. if no green on screen, tube is on it's last legs. Advise to scrap, not to repair, cost in excess of £200
Please update this with the count of hte blinks. This is a diagnostic code that will indicate the problem circuit. From that we can tell you probable solutions and their costs.
the symptom is usually caused by a breakdown in the power supply circuit. in most modern receivers (transistorized and/or ic), it may also be caused by a breakdown in the horizontal deflection circuits (hor. oscillator, pre-drive, or drive circuits). supply voltages for the tuner, video if,sound if, and vertical output are usually supplied by the horizontal output circuit. but if you doesnt know anything about these stuffs, better bring it to a qualified service tecnhician.
i cannot tell you the cost to fix your tv coz my location is in the Philippines.
sounds like you got a vertical foldover and could possibly be the vertical output IC but most likly its one of the waveshaper capacitors. This repair is one that alot of repair peeps swap out caps one by one to find the defective one and some use a cap checker but the right way is to use a scope to see the waveform aplitude and the shape of the waveform. This is not a user repair as this set will get repaired down to the componet level as np boards toreplace except for the sound. Take into the shop if you dont mind spending an average of 75 to 125 bucks for this repair
Good luck
this problem would be in your power spply or the sweep derived power supply. probably a bad capacitor or regulator IC/transistor. Unless you know how to trouble shoot electronics them please have this set looked at by a pro. Good Luck
