I have a kenwood KDC-MP245 , AM /FM/CD car audio player . When I crank up the volume the unit shuts down for a few seconds then comes back on . It continues to do this until I lower the volume , then it will stay on . The point of buying a better car audio cd-receiver was to have better sound and be able to crank it up . The better sound is there , but the crank it up .........not so much . Why ???

Depending on the vehicle this radio is installed in, the impedence from speaker must match the stereo as well as the resistance. If you are using factory speakers in a vehicle some are as low as 1 ohm which will cause a short in the stereo. This will cause the radio to shut off. You need to check the specs of the radio to be sure. If you need more help with this please let me know.

Downloaded manual for Kenwood KDC-MP528, but instructions for setting clock time is sketchy, and can't get " clock adj." to come up, no matter in what sequence I hit instructed buttons....

Try putting the radio in standby mode and then hold the menu button in for a few seconds. Once you enter the menu, use the am or fm buttons to scroll through the menu. Then hold the seek up or seek down for a few seconds until the clock flashes, You should then be able to use the am/fm buttons and seek up and down buttons to set the hours and minutes. Once you have the time set, press the menu button again.

Cant turnoff the demo mode in my Kenwood KDC-MP142 stereo

get in to "menu" (hold magnifying glass), scroll to "demo mode" (am or fm button), push volume knob in and hold for about three seconds. Should work, that's how I did it.

I want to hard wire (not using any kind of wireless gadget) my ipod in to my car to the Kenwood KDC 334 CD player which is installed. I have pulled the Kenwood unit out and there is no obvious connection,...

The KDC 334 doesn't have any audio input, so there's nowhere to hardwire an iPod or other mp3 player into the unit.

I'm sorry, but the only way to get iPod sound to come through this head unit is with a wireless gadget like the iTip FM adaptor.

Kenwood kdc 3011 cd player

Have you tried the balance and fader control?
Also make sure the ground or - negative wire has a good connection for that speaker from the back of the unit. Or it could be the internal amplifier it self.
