Kenmore model 525321 overheat problem

Wed a.m. smelled what i thought was "electrical" burn. couldn't locate in kitchen. later that day went to get ice but it came out slushie. opened freezer, everything was defrosting. husband came in, took off back, found burnt wires and had me order the start/overload relay. he replaced it, plugged fridge back in and waited. fridge is on but does not run still. compressor hot to touch so unplugged, checked wires again as the part our local appliance center ordered from whirlpool stated it was a manufacturer's substitute. is there a chance the wiring setup is different?

I have a Kenmore Elite model 110.63022100. My dryer runs for 30 seconds to 1 minute before completely powering off. There is a burn smell when it stops.

Usually when an electric dryer overheats and shuts down, it's because of a defective cycling thermostat or a clogged vent system. Clean any lint from the internal and external ductwork, and/or replace the cycling thermostat.

Burning chemical smell coming from the gas dryer

Hi,
You first thought was probably the correct one...the fumes from the new paint may take a few days to disspate enough not to react with the heat of the dryer...I would give it a few dyas to clear before looking any further...

You need to unplug the washer. Locate the source of the odor then read the instructions in the related section. You need to open the back cover, Check the parts which is spark, and become faulty, there is a short circuit, that become loose contact.

Stuck at 288 degrees

NO PARTS REQUIRED!!! DON'T PAY FOR A SERVICE CALL!!!

After a power outage, my wife's grandmother said she could no longer set her over to 300, 400, 450, whatever..

I went over to troubleshoot.

I couldn't figure out why everything seemed functional and why I couldn't set the over to higher than 288 (and thought, that's a rather odd number)... until I realized that that 288 degrees C = 550 degrees F which is the max the oven can do.

The power outage reset the computed back to celcius instead of fahrenheit.

Save them a ton of money... cause this could have been an easy cash grab to some cook out there.

Dryer shutting off too early. Faint smell of something burning?

Check the vent for clogging condition that will turn off unit and cause it to overheat. If vent goes up to roof check up there also - that is where mine was clogged with a sort of paper mache clog!!!!!
