take the battery out yet and try, batteries love to dye and short.
run on line AC power only that cure it?

with battery out, will the display even show BIOS messeages

page 4 in the service manual tells you the power light blink rules.
the lightening bolt LED binks , means no line power, and battery is now dead. is the power pack missing>? unpluged.
try a direct on connection to wall AC power known good?
the same light blinks i SLEEP mode.,

replace bad capacitor on power board (like 820/25v or 1000/2v)

I have lg flatron l1730s lcd black color monitor. I have problem with this. Power not come. some time when i connect it power LED blinking once then no display.

jessica407, I will assume it is a Hewlett-Packard (HP). If monitor screen is still black then try to sub-in a known good unit to prove that the pc is ok. If pc ok then you need to visit this blog on web.

Yes, you should do some reading in my and other fixya tech's profiles and then you will know all the options open to you as a consumer/user of LCD monitor. low power consubtion first on ur moniter then cpu

1. cpu problem. why because of there is no signal output from cpu to monitor. the led blinking means there is no vertical, horizontal signals from cpu to monitor.

2. your monitor connected to another system.

3. neck board dry points.

4. cheak the display cable. 13&14 pins are horizontal, vertical signals.1, 2, 3 pins , R G B , 6 ,7, 8 pins R G B ground ( coaxiler cable used , meshed wire is ground )

it is a stupid moniter I have ever seen...I have 4 monitors with same problem...given many times for repair...no use...

if orange light blinks it will be a error installation.
