Somehow, my dehumidifier (LG LHD45EL) runs without collecting water. Can you tell me the possible causes. If it needs to be repaired, where can I turn to? My zip code is 60089 (Buffal Grove, IL).

1- check if the water collecting bucket is properly installed (the light will show is ON but if the bucket is not propely installed -pushed in the proper position ) -make sure the slots on the bottom of the dehumidifier are posisioned correctly.

Same problem here....
Just got this dehumidifier. It runs, but no water is being collected. It will read the humidity in the room as high, then as low and shuts off. But again no water is collected. It's noisy too.
Same issue, fan runs, humidity is high on indicator, but no water is produced.
I have the same problem, plus the unit is blowing cool air instead of warm air.
I had the same problem. It seemed to be the anti-ice circuit stopped working(it should turn unit off until the ice in between the coils melts). It would keep running but would not remove any moisture.
The unit I had was still under the 5 year warranty(it was between 1-2 yrs old) and LG eventually sent me a full refund. I have not replaced it yet but will have to soon as the warmer season approaches. I'm still deciding if I should by the same model which seems to have a bad reliability record or try another brand like Frigidaire(only has a 1 yr warranty though).
This thing is a POS, it has not collected any water since I took it out of the packaging and properly installed it.
Mine just quit collecting water this year. I bought it two years ago and it just stopped collecting water when I turned it on this Spring. It collects about an inch of water and then shuts off with the red light indicating that it is full.
