Call and ask our service tech, Ray... We are Restaurant Equipment Outlet, Cincinnati, Ohio, and sell parts, new/used equipment and smallwares too. We normally ship in 1-2 days on parts, etc.
Our number is 888-542-5959. Ray normally can walk someone through lighting a pilot over the phone, no problem... Thanks, Susan REO

How do i get the pilot light to remain lit on my new SLG100 Anets deep fryer

Did you hold the pilot light button down long enough? It takes between 20 seconds - 1 minute to properly heat the thermistor before you can turn the switch to "On".

Deep fryer wll not ligth

Frequently customers do not hold the pilot "lite" button down long enough for the fryer to light. We normally instruct them to hold the pilot lite button in for some time, then light it, and after it lights, turn thermostat back to your regular setting. People get alarmed that they have to hold the button in as long as they do, but that is what it takes to light these units up, so hold it in longer, then light. Once we give these instructions, they normally do not call back in, and manage to light it ok Good luck to you, Susan REO

Need to know where to light pilot

Normally, it's under the fryer, inside the door...The issue almost always is you have to press the button down long enough for the sensor to tell the fryer to light....There are 3 or 4 burners in the bottom of the frypot on top and under the fryer is the pilot to light these all up...Look for the gas valve, turn the gas valve to pilot, and press and hold it down, put flame to pilot and release button when flame is self standing... Then turn to on position. If you have other issues, call the Vulcan company themselves, and they will help you further.... Susan Restaurant Equipment Outlet, Cinc, Oh www.restaurantequipmentinc.com

Hi i have a new imperial fryer and im tring to light it and cant seem to get it to work. any idea on how to get it working?

Have a lighter handy (I use one of the elongated ones for caravaners)
in-between the burners is a pilot light (top right) keep the lighter flame where the gas comes out.
On the right hand side of the fryer at the bottom is a gas valve with a little black knob.
Press and hold the black knob in and gas will come out of the pilot light and ignite by the lighter flame. You need to hold the button in for quite a while. (until it stays lit)
When it stays lit depress the little black knob and turn it anti clockwise. Gas comes out of the burners and ignites from the pilot light. When it reaches temp. it will cut out.
To turn it off turn the little black knob clockwise. To turn the pilot light off, push and turn clockwise.

Pilot light goes out when burner turned on

Replace the pilot generator. You are not getting the millivolts you need when you turn on the fryer.

I cant find the way on how to light uo the friar.

If you have a pitco 35 fryer, all you need to do is have gas connected and turned on, rotate the know on the gas valve to the pilot position, depress the knob, while holding the knob down light the pilot, normally located in between the burner tubes in the middle of the front of the fryer, hold the knob for 60 seconds, when you release the pilot should remain on. If it does rotate the pilot know to the "on" position, from this point the thermostat should control the fryer. If your pilot does not stat lit, press the red button on the hi-limit to reset it, it could be tripped and this would cause the pilot to not hold. Hope this is helpful.

Lighting the fryer

If this is a milivolt unit, meaning no solid-state or computer/digital controlled. You would need to turn your gas valve to the pilot position, then press in and hold until you can light the pilot using a lighter (this may take several minutes, to bleed the air from gas supply) once there is a pilot flame present, you will need to hold the valve button in for about 45 seconds to heat the thermalpile. Once pilot is lit, thene turn to on position and proceeed to turning thermostate to set temp.

Pilot going out when thermostat turned on

This is caused by the safty bypass feature on the gas valve. You will need to replace the gas valve. This problem is a safty interlock built into the valve when it fails it will not let the main valve portion fire.

Pilot won't light

you have one of two things going on here either a thermocouple or a pilot safty valve failing. If you hold in the g/v button and the pilot will stay on but then go off when you let the button go you have a bad thermocouple. The 2nd is another option possibly installed on your fryer which is a pilot safty device it will have a large red button usually accessible from the outside or behind the front cover. Also you need to make sure you have gas present to the unit as well.
