Acer i cant get my web cam to work i hvar a acer aspire 4520

yeah because you don't have the proper driver to launch the web cam. You need to have the motherboard CD and browse for your web cam driver if you don't have it, look for it at acer.com. download a latest one for better compatibility

i believe u have acer arcade deluxe? all acers have it. i have it [aspire 4520]. run acer arcade deluxe then on the home screen select dv wizard and select ur cam and u will be able to record and the saved videos are in x:\users\[your name]\videos where x is ur drive letter if u have vista

Acer usually has 3 kinds of drivers, the chicony, bison and suyo webcam drivers. just download all three of them and try them one by one. chances are one of them will work.

My Cam's not producing photos.What is responsible for this?

Acer crystal eye web cam is only for photo capturing. u can take the videos by the windows movie maker.

i think you should change the camera it self not the driver problem because i had the same problem and i send back to acer, hope this can help you..

I am using ACER (Aspire 4520), with Windows Vista BASIC & then once i have format my laptop & install Vista Ultimate on it from that time my webcam is not appearing on desktop & I am enable to use web cam & another problem is when I have install yahoo massager that was installed on the time I start working all of the sudden it disappear plz provide me solution of this

Not sure how different the 4520 is from the 5920 that I use. I have a webcam built in and can use the camera with Skype, Live messenger or a video editing program I use.

For me I just opened those programs and clicked on the camera icon and it all worked for me.

Have you tried to use any of the above programs to see if the camera works?

I am assuming you have a built in web cam like I do.

those embedded acer webcams are not too hot..get a usb version and enjoy the utility
