Orbi cam not working on acer aspire 3100

Check your device manager for device flags.
If found remove them. Remove the device and allow windows to reinstall the drivers.
If the imageing device is not being shown in device manager, you may have a bad webcam.
Remove any, all usb input devices and reboot to safe mode.
Check your device manager for device and flags.
If your imaging device shows up in your device manager and not in Skype, try removing Skype and reloading

This may not make sence but it worked for me........Try making a new folder and put all your PICTURE folder files into it..........then try your cam....it would seem that when Pictures folder has files in *** conflicts with orbicam........hope helps..............ron

I find that when I have photos in my pictures folder, the camera will not work. Try moving photos to another folder and see if it works.

thats so easy go to drive c/windows and delete all files and shoutdown your pc and thow it to trashcan ok

How can I reinstall my acer orbi cam my daughter deleted it and now I cant get it back, can you please help and I have Windows Vista or can you suggest some better that will work with windows vista cause it was not working

Start - Programs - look for Acer Empowering technology Acer E-recovery - choose Restore - choose Apps and Drivers at the bottom of Restore tab (it will say extracting) - once extracted - click Install - click Vista on the left - click Drivers - click Camera or CCD - on the right side of the screen, click a phrase that has something like "Install now", follow on screen instructions.

** Note ** When the My Pictures or Pictures folder gets full, camera will not work - Cut and Paste all pictures in that folder to another folder and restart Orbicam program.

some viruses do leave there effect even after removal, or it could be that , there is still virus within your notebook
tackle the virus . if that doesnt work save your data to a different partition and go for a new installtion of operating system
