Warm fridge cool freezer

GE side by side fridge/freezer . Model No: GSL 22JFPD BS. My tect changed The Fan in the freezer ,The Heater. long Brass looking Thing , Circuit board , Re gas System . The unit work like a dream ! 48 hrs after same problem . Switch off for 12 hrs , Work good again . 48 hrs after same problem . Switch off for 5 hrs . Switch on working warm . Switch off 12 hrs . Working Good again 52 hrs after Same problem . Now he tells me. Sir i don't know what to do again . Can some one HELP me PLEASE !!!!! all my stuff is spoiling. (3 year old unit )

Our refrigerator is cycling hot then cold approx. 2 - 3 days apart. I did not the the top front of the refrigerator gets very hot when this happens. It is NOT that the light is not turning off. I've looked from the freezer side with the damper open and the light is shutting off. Very weird, driving us crazy!!

IS, the freezer so packed full with packages that they are covering the air vents in the freezer that must be open to share the circulation with the fridge?

Fridge GE GSS20IEPDCC wall between the freezer and fresh food side getting very warm. Runs all the time.

The wall separating the fridge and freezer section has tubing off the compressor called a mullion heater/ discharge tube heater. It is there to keep that strip slightly warm and prevent sweating during humid times. If it gets overly warm/hot to the touch then either it is due for a cleaning or the condenser fan has stopped. The defrost circuit is not the problem! After pulling the fridge out, remove the back panel and you will see a round condenser on the right hand side. The fan motor is mounted on the side of it. Clean as necessary and make sure the fan is running. Unplug during cleaning and protect your floor before pulling it out

I have a ge refridgerator gss25k side by side. thefridge/freezer are not cooling. the bottom of the fridge freezes and the top is warm.

There is an air duct that connects the fridge to the freezer. A fan circulates air to cool the refrigerator.
The inside fan has stopped working or is blocked by ice.
Defrost the freezer. If the fridge starts to work properly then you have an auto defrost problem. If the fridge still does not work then there is a faulty fan.
A technician can help you there

Freezer working but refrigerator is not cooling

if freezer is close to zero, top to bottom, and fridge is warm(ing), then you likely have a defrost problem, you will notice an abundance of snow/frost on back wall of freezer. it could either be your heater, thermistor, defrost safety thermostat, or your defrost control/main cpu, depending on model. if either or both sides are warm at the top, and cold at bottom, then your freezer fan is out. again depending on your model, it may just be the fan, or a combination fan/main cpu board hope this helps

Freezer is frozen fridge is warm

Your model is most likely the Profile Artica style. Most times the defrost heater is burned out behind the rear of the freezer wall. Manually defrost and look at the defrost heater to see if burned out. That model possibly has the glass covered defrost heater and will be easy to spot if burned out because the element is inside a glass tube, If you replace the defrost heater also replace the defrost thermostat, Please send me your model number located near floor of the fresh food compartment door seal and kick plate, Thanks Sea Breeze

Ge fridg and freezer not cold; just cool; TFX 20JR; what could the problem be?

The problem is probably the defrost heater . This model is at least 12 yrs. in age . Pt # WR51X442 is the part number for the heater and harness kit . These parts are located behind the inside rear lower freezer panel . First , make sure the freezer fan is working . If not Pt # WR60X10008 is the freezer fan motor .

you might have a defrost problem, timer,heater or bimetal when the coils freez up they dont cool enough .

Ge Fridge not cooling

Make sure that the light in the ref side is not staying on when the door is closed. Could have a bad door switch. Probably have a defrost problem in the freezer. Check to see if there is a lot of frost build up on the inside/back of the freezer. If there is then you have a bad heater or defrost thermostat or a bad timer. Also another possibility is make sure the freezer fan is working. If there is no circulation of air then the fresh food side will get warm. Then replace evaporator fan motor.

Freezer side cold, frige side warm

Defrost heater is open behind back wall. order new heater #wr55x10101 remove 4 screws 2 bottom, 2 top behind light shield, defrost freezer so ice is off of evap, replace heater with new one.
