Download the latest version or firmware and drivers from HERE
When you are setting up it should ask you the language _ set English. or by default it should be English.

Changing the HP OfficeJet J4580 language on the printer control panel:

1) With the printer powered ON, unplug the power cord
2) Wait 30 seconds
3) Press and hold the <#> key and the <3> key at the same time as you plug the power cord back in
4) Release the keys you were holding
5) If your printer does not power on automatically, press the power button
6) Press the setup button (looks like a wrench)
7) Use the arrow keys to navigate to "Basic Settings" and press <OK>
8) Use the arrow keys to navigate to "Set Language" and press <OK>
9) Use the arrow keys to navigate to the language of your choice, and press <OK>
10) Press <1> on the keypad to confirm
11) When "Set Location" appears, use the arrow keys to navigate to your country/region, and then press the <1> key to confirm

Press and hold # and 3 while plugging in the power cord. This will allow you to reset the display language.

How can I change the language on my HP Officejet J4580 All-In-One Printer from Swedish to English??

1. With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer, and then wait for 20 seconds.
2. Press and hold the # and 6 buttons simultaneously, while plugging the power cord back to the printer.
3. Release the buttons after reconnecting the power cord.
4. Press the Power button ( ) if the printer does not turn on automatically. The language is reset to English.
