Question about Casio Exilim EX-Z57 Digital Camera
Each time I try to turn on my camera, it beeps twice and shuts off. Not even the LCD screen will show anything. I even tried using the red and green button to turn it on, still, nothing. I even removed the battery for a couple hours, abd still nothing happened. I even replaced the battery. I have only had the camera for 6 months and this problem started about 2 months ago... What should I do??
Hi: Most problems with cameras that each time we turm them on and they switch off automatically are based on couple of things. Most likely, the problem of your camera is related with the camera lens. Probably you took you camera to the beach or a place were the camera was exposed to dust or sand and that can be one of many causes why the camera doesn't work. My advice is to go to a store that offers support of Casio devices. It's easier and it's most likely it's going to cost anything because it's on warranty... right?? :) At least here in Portugal all the hardware devices (included cameras and so) have, at least, two years of warranty!! ;) Regards

SOURCE: Camera does not react
I quote: "A couple of days ago after using it when trying to see the pictures on
the camera the LCD did not show anything. The lens reacted and even
take pictures but nothing was visible on the LCD screen."
That means that there was a problem either with a LCD display or with ribbon cable.
Now:"I tried charging the battery and removing it from the camera, now the camera only does a bit sound when switching on but nothing else, the lens does not even come out."
That means that the ribbon cable had probably shorted, now the camera may be furtherly damaged.
The camera must be disassembled to access the LCD and fix the problem.
The repair must be done by an experienced technician, as to access the LCD you need to remove both covers.
