By 'W', i guess you mean wireless, first remove your power adapter, then next your battery from your laptop. press the power button for 40 seconds(note that nothing will com on since the laptop is not powererd), Next put back your battery(preferably fully charged), then switch on your laptop. Wireless is now enabled but may stil ve switched off, switch it on using FN+F8 keys. Good Luck

SOURCE: hi i have prolem with my wireless networ is not

Hi,

If happens that you already do recovery on your machine and still the wireless is not working that means that the wireless adapter on your machine is already faulty. I recommend to call the manufacturer to have it service. If your machine is still in 1yr warranty.

How do i turn on my wifi on my toshiba a660? windows told me there should be a switch on the front or side of my compute. I could not use it at the airport because it stated the wifi was shut off.

On a lot of laptops there is a switch on the side or front of the laptop facing. If not then there might be a FN+key to access it. And by that I mean that you have to hold down the FN key and press the corresponding F# key to activate it. Such as FN+F6. Most of the time the Wifi logo looks like an antenna with waves coming out of the top of it.

Best of luck

I have a Toshiba Satellite A660 in front of me. It passes the Toshiba splash screen but won't boot into Windows. It's less than a couple of months old so if necessary will be going back to the reseller but...

Since the WARRANTY still is valid, the easiest route is to exercise the warranty.

Or, use the supplied "System Restore" set of CD-ROMs to reload Windows (this will wipe-out any data from your 'C:' disk-drive).

It might be possible to temporarily remove the disk-drive, connect it as a "slave" disk-drive in another computer, and then to copy all your files onto DVD-writable disk(s), before sending it in for warranty service.
