I own a Blaupunkt Atlanta CD85 car stereo. All the buttons on the faceplate work, but a couple are twisted or out of alignment. I want to open up the case and readjust them but don't want to damage the unit or the locking clips. There are four small screws going into the back of the faceplate and ten locking clips around the perimeter. I'd like to know how to release the locking clips and whether or not I need to remove the screws as well to open up the case. Thanx.

The screws definitely need to be removed. I usually use my finger nails to pry open the case of the face.

I have a Blaupunkt cassette car stereo fitted to a Rover Metro (M reg) which claims to have an AUX mode, but I can't for the life of me figure out where the input might be. Am I being dumb? The stereo says...

Some car stereos have aux output at the back, so i reckon you have to remove unit to check it, it must be one 3.5 female, or 2 RCA connections (red and white).

Yes, the black wire goes to ground.

Replaced battery in my 03 ford focus now my car stereo will not power on. any procedure to reactivate my car stereo to turn. been reading horror stories about this setup. ugh!!

Not sure if this will help you , but many aftermarket have a reset switch behind the faceplate. would be a small hole about big enough to poke the tip of a ball point pen into.
Also , remove the faceplate and replace it making sure it is clicked in securly.
