I installed WIN 7 operating system to my PC - Mercury PVM900M(Kobian), but out of 4 speakers, only 2 speakers are working. also i could not able to install drivers cd which was working fine in XP

Sometimes the drivers are not compatible with windows 7. Use a driver finder tool to download specific updated drivers for hardware. Also use as sytem utility tool like Reginout to fix registry and other windows errors. Maybe windows causes the problem for driver installation.

I had a system crash and have just recovered xp

CHECK YOUR SOUND CARD DRIVER FROM THE DEVICE MANAGER
IN THE COMPUTER PROPERTIES, IF DRIVER IS INSTALLED
CORRECTLY.
if the driver is not installed buy a universal xp driver cd and install your drivers.

Try disconnecting the speaker that you added. If the sound comes back, then you're ok. Just don't add any more speakers. If not, then it's possible the amp is blown.

Too many speakers connected together to one output can cause an overload and either blow a fuse or trigger the protection circuitry. If the protection is triggered or blows a fuse with all speakers disconnected, then your amp is shot.

Hopefully, that's not the case. Try disconnecting all the speakers and see what happens. If you still get the error, then the amp is gone.

Hope this helps, and please rate my advice.
Thank you, and good luck!!

Speaker not working after installaton of XP

Hi, It may not be a problem with the speakers but the the sound drivers of your PC. Verify that your Sound, video and game controller drivers are installed correctly/completely with no yellow or red markings in your Device Manager. If yes, try to uninstall and re-install using the original CD that came with the motherboard/PC as driver source. Alternately, you can download newer drivers if available. Hope this be of some idea/help. Post back how things turn up or should you need additional information. Pls include brand/model/version of your PC or motherboard. Good luck and kind regards.
