Why does my fryer says shorted probe

You need to replace the thermostat probe. That probe controls your heat and prevents it from over heating or not heating so if its out it has no way of being able to do so so it stays off. I couldn't find part but call manufacturer and provide serial number and they will get you everything you need and even help with any small questions.

Where do I put the filter

On the Actifry and Actifry Plus models, the wire grease filter sits in the recess below the fan intake at the back of the machine, just under, and in front of, the heating element. Once in place, push it back against the fan grille and the clip on the plastic filter holder will keep it in place.

On the Actifry Family the filter is in the same place, but slides into two grooves on either side of the fan intake, and doesn't need clipped into place.

The pilot is on but the switch won't turn the fryer on. The gas is on but it just wont fire up? Dean Fryer

I can tell you from my own experience with fryers, that they take quite some time to heat up....before lighting.... The probe takes some time to get hot, before it will kick on and light. You normally have to hold the light button on for some time, before the manual fryers will light. I have helped many a customer who cannot seem to get their manual gas fryers to light, and normally it's because they don't hold the light button down long enough. The sensor in there takes alittle time to heat up and it tells the fryer it's time to light. I think people get alittle scaried with gas and just don't hold it down long enough. Try holding that button in longer first, then light it... It should work. If not, call us and we'll try to walk you through it.... Hi, I have a 2001 Mazda Millenia S. The light for my heated seats come on, but there is no heat in either the driver's or passenger's seat. What could be the problem?

Mazdas are pretyy bad about the seat heating elements burning out. To verify that the problem is not the circuits to the elements, remove the 4 bolts holding the seat to the floor and tilt the seat back. Find the 2 pn connector for the heating element under the seat. (On the driver's side it will have a White and Red wire and a Yellow and Red wire. On the passenger side it will have a White and Red wire and a Green wire) Disconnect the connector. Using a standard 12 volt test light and a paper clip, use the paper clip to connect on end of the test light to the White and Red wire and probe the Yellow and Red (or the Green wire) with the test light probing end. With the ignition switch on and the seat switches turned on, the test lamp should light up. If it does, you need to replace the heating element in the seat. If it does not light up, post a comment to let me know, and I'll talk you through diagnosing the heater circuits.

"PROB" shows when fryer is

Computerboard will display "PROB" error when it could not sense resistance reading from the temperature probe sensor (temperature probe sensor is either open circuit or short circuited). Check first the temperature probe connectors, tighten loosely fitted connectors on wiring harness and computer board, then check if the wires are not damaged. Disconnect the temperature probe and check the resistance using an ohm meter. If the reading is either zero or infinite, you have to replace the temp probe.

It will not turn on

Hi Woodman22191,
I suggest that you do a couple of visual inspections first before doing anything drastic. Here's a list of things that you should check :
- Is the magnetic cord assembly properly attached to fryer socket ? - Is the electrical cord assembly plugged into electrical outlet? - Is the Power ON/OFF Switch is set to ON? - Is the Heating Element Assembly correctly assembled? Make sure Heating Element Assembly is properly installed on base. - Are you using too much or too little oil in the pot? Make sure that you use the recommended amount of oil in the oil pot.
If these things above does not fix the problem, you may need to Reset the Fryer. - Press Reset on Heating Element/Control Panel by inserting a paper clip or any small pointed object into the opening labeled RESET.
I hope this solves the problem. All the best to you. Good luck.

I have a MasterBuilt 28qt stainless Turkey Fryer. The plastic retainer clip on the side is cracked/broken, and needs to be replaced. It is held onto the side of the fryer by 4 screws, and is where the...

I've got the same problem and it causes the safety switch on the heating element not to compress thus it want heat. I contacted Masterbuilt and they said due to that model being no longer in production ther were no parts to buy. I'm going to find a way to hold the switch down (maybe with a piece of duct tape) and continue using it as is I guess, I suggest you do the same unless you want to buy the newer model.

Beko dwd5419w. My dishwasher wont heat the water, i have taken off the heater element and tested it and it works. what else should cause this problem

hi The heating element is used to help dry the dishes. In most dishwashers, the heating element fits around the screen in the bottom of the tub housing; it looks like an electric oven element. The heating element doesn't malfunction often, but it can burn out. If you suspect a faulty element:

Step 1: Test it with a VOM set to the RX1 scale. Remove the dishwasher's bottom access panel and disconnect one of the power leads to the element. Clip one probe of the VOM to each element terminal. If the meter reads between 15 and 30 ohms, the element is working. If the reading is higher than 30 ohms, the element is faulty and should be replaced.

Step 2: As needed, replace the heating element with a new one made for the dishwasher. Disconnect the electrical leads to the element's terminal screws and remove the nuts or other fasteners that hold the element to the terminals. From inside the tub, lift the element out. It may be held by clips and ceramic blocks in the tub, but you can easily thread it past these spacers. Set the new heating element in position, reconnect the power leads, and replace the fasteners that hold the element in place.,,,,,,,,,,,,please rate it
