Hello , I hope someone can help me with this ??, its a GE Model # 24GP653, I removed the back , an on the larger of the 2 circuit boards I found these 3 items burnt an loose ,,, resister board # R471, a Cap board # C471, Diode #VD401A,,,,, I think I can solder them back in place. The Diode appers cracked I can probaly get that at like a Radio Shack , I dont know if this will repair the problem, but guess it cant hurt it ,,,, Thanks in advance for any help ,, Jim

The resistor overheated as a result of the diode or the capacitor went bad. Your gonna need to get a schematic diagram and find out what the part #s are as you cant just put in any type of diode capacitor or resistor. Also see what thay voltage source feeds and make sure nothing else is shorted.. Good Luck
