i recently purchased 2 motorola w375 net 10 phones since i liked their 10 cents per minute pay as you go plan.
i followed all instructions and set up both phones, (1 for me and 1 for my husband). both my hubby and i can call anyone EXCEPT WE CANNOT CALL EACH OTHER ON OUR NET 10 CELL PHONES.
i made sure to add the phone numbers for each of our phones to each sim card, and also put in all information on both phones for voice mail. i used 2 different 4 digits to unlock both phones, and also took care of the security features on both phones as well, and still we cannot call each other as everything goes directly to the messaging center which i assume is voice mail.
i called net10 at least 10 times and they just repeat they fixed the problems, and net 10 people can call us on our cell phones, but again we cannot call each other.
also when my husband calls me at home on our regular phone line using his net 10 cell phone, our home phones caller id lists a strangers name, and net 10 says they have no idea why this happens, or how to fix it, but swears the net 10 cell phones i purchased are brand new and have never been used.....now i would think since i gave them all my husbands information when i activated his phone that his name should appear on the caller id and not some strangers name, and that leads me to believe his phone is a used and not new phone. (am i wrong in assuming this?). any comments would be appreciated:).
is there a fix for these 2 problems i listed above, as i am disgusted speaking to net 10, and since they are overseas many of their reps cannot be understood, and they just hang up instead of trying to speak more slowly and clearly to assist with fixing the problems.
i purchased both of these net 10 cell phones to be able to call anyone by just dialing out and not bothering to use the phone book, but especially for both my husband and i to be able to use our 2 net 10 cell phones to call each other in case of emergencies.
Alright these phones although new may be using a USED number. I would ask for another number and see if that solves the issue. Net 10 recycles inactive users cell numbers which can lead to problems.(their customer service sucks but the price is great)

wanna unlock ur mobile, here i found a site this is not free of cost but reliable , and i found this last week i used this nice...to unlock http://www.mobile-unlocker.com/
there are a few reasons that could be causing this.
1. You may have changed the message center routing number.
* Go to messages - options - message setup - text messages - profile - SMS settings(should be check marked, if not select activate) - Customize
* The message center number should be +13123149810(plus must be entered....hold 0 key for plus)
2. Text messaging pay per use has been taken off your account. dial 611 from your phone or 1-866-246-4852 (after hours call 866-801-3600) from another phone for customer service. request pay per use to be added to your phone, or purchase a messaging plan.
These should cover it. Make sure to power you r phone off and on after any changes.
On Alltel U prepaid, you get two free features for 75 cents a day, three for $1.00 a day, and four for $1.25 a day.
The four features offered are unlimited text messaging, unlimited night and weekends (N&W), unlimited mobile to mobile (M2M), and unlimited calls any one number. You decide which ones you want.
The fee is charged every day, regardless of usage or not.
The only way to not get charged every day is to switch to the pay-per-minute plan or get a monthly plan.
just download "Motokit "software.& install it in ur PC.Select Data/fax mode in usb setting of ur mobile.
then open the MOtokit software & connect ur phone..Software will automatically detect ur phone.
then of top left side of the software select " mobile" & then"info"..it will give u the Unlock code & security code of ur mobile...
Optus unlock but there is a fee, Online services unlock but there is a fee, often it is cheaper to buy a 'free phone' plan from vodaphone than pay the unlock fee,
The chances are that the W375 is locked to Net10. The other Motorola phone you mentioned will work with the old SIM if the phone was previously used on Net10, or has been unlocked.
Most phones, upon issue, are locked to the network that provided the phone. If the other working phone is locked to a different network, speak to the Network it was previously locked to, and ask for an unlock code.
Try it anyway, you can't damage anything by doing so.
I have the same issue. I read everything very carefully before
purchasing this phone with Net10 service and this was not stated
anywhere. What good is it to have a camera phone if there is no way to
download the photos to my computer? Makes the phone pretty much
useless for all but basic phone service. Today I set up an account
with Verizon and ordered a new phone through them. I will use up the
minutes remaining on my Net10 account and then I'm through with them.
You get what you pay for I guess. Should have known it was too good to
be true.
