My emachine em350 battery is not fully charging. it started by charging to 89% then 86% now its at 65% I bought it 5 months ago. What should I do?

try a different battery or use an external charger.... the battery could be faulty, or the camera charge function could be faulty.... a different battery will help you decide where the problem is.

Is the new battery fully charged?

maybe a fault. Try charging it a lttle more n leave it on a bit longer? if not you may have a duff one so just take it back!

Did you charge it at all during the 3 months? Did you store chair on a full charge? Check to see if batteries are dead. Batteries should be disconnected and/or stored on a full charge. If left connected they should be fully charge every week.

1st check battery is good -after 5 months unused it may need changing
Should have 12.8volts min when fully charged & no load
min 12.6 volts with ignition on

First of all please confirm that your charger is working.
Then check your battery weather it is dead or not.
If your battery is ok ,then there must be charging socket problem and charger-connecting pin with motherboard.

Ifthe laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be wornout. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cyclesand will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up atall. ORThe battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected thebattery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. Ifthe battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to bereplaced.

Hello - the Emachines EM350 is rated by the manufacturer as "up to four hours." however such ratings are always a bit inflated. You can expect probably 2.5-3 Hrs. under "average" use.

The battery has to be fully charged. It will crank but will not start without a fully charged battery.

If it still does not start, check for gas.

Really the battery is most likely at fault here if it was alright 3 months ago.
