My cd Player YAMAHA CD-S397MKII always says 'no disc' even if it has one, only a short'clack'-voice after closing the tray.
It's the same voice like before (when everthing was ok) and no disc was inserted.

The loading tray belt has more than likely stretched or snapped. The buzzing you hear will be the motor spinning freely. The 'ERROR' message will show up because the tray isn't opening and activating the 'tray open' switch, therefore the 'tray closed' switch is permanently activated after the 'open/close button is pressed.
Open the top cover of your CD using a screw driver, (usually a star screw driver),. Then, manually turn the driving gear of the CD tray to free the stucked tray and until to the point where you can take the disc from the tray. Be careful so the setting of the tray and the laser eye is not change. Then, close the close the cover and play. You can send your e-mail thru fix ya to let me know.
To fix it, you need to replace the spindle motor top bearing. The bearing is worn and the player mistracks as the armature moves about under the changing drive conditions. Makes the player mistrack and skip. Because the disc is spinning fast.
Replacing the bearing should resolves the problem.
Try using a CD cleaner. Generally this sort of problem occurs due to dust accumulating on the lens. The CD cleaner comes along with a solution.just spray on the CD and allow it to play in the CD drive. Sometimes the problem might even be due to a virus. Check whether your anti-virus is up to date.
