Only works when plugged in to charge

U need full charge..12.6 volts not 12. Mite also hava relay..connection or startr issue

Try taking out your hard drive and reintalling it. See if this helps. Also take your ram out and put it back in. Good luck.

The AC jack on your laptop might be loose. You will need to take the board out and re-solder the connections. This is a job for the Pro.

You have to take it back to the Vendor, it should still be under warranty, ask for a replacement.

your battery has run out and needs to be charged that's why it is not turning on.
connect it to a another usb port on your computer and it should be able to turn on and charge, it should work, if you still have problems, comment back.

Try giving it a full charge. I used different model Tom Tom that would not turn on even if plugged in until after the battery was recharged.

while you are holding the volume plus button down,plug your player in your puter and keep holding the button until it goes into the recovery mode.it worked for me.

hold the power button for 20secs or try holding both the power button and the play button for20seconds

i was going to say, let it warm up for awhile.

my son's just did this and the reset method worked (press the back button and up and hold both for about 10 seconds until the zune screen appears)
