Reinstalling HP1110 installed it about a year ago, and now i'm getting a message that its missing some component. so I reinstalled, got a success message, and now the printer doesn't appear in the printer folder at the control panel. what should I do? Thanks for any help you can offer

SYMPTOMS
When you start any of the programs listed at the beginning of this article, you may receive one of the following error messages:

One or more components are missing or broken. WMF graphics filter is missing.

Wmf graphics filter is missing.

CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the Windows Metafile (WMF) graphics import filter is damaged or missing.

RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, rename the Wmfimp32.flt file:
- Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files or Folders.
- In the Named field, type wmfimp32.flt.
- In the Look in box, click Local hard drives, and then click to select the Include Subfolders check box.
- Click Find Now.
- Right-click the Wmfimp32.flt file, and then click Rename.
- Type wmfimp32.old.
- Press ENTER.
- Close the Find: Files Named Wmfimp32.old dialog box.
- Reinstall the program.

Looks like a "Color Table Missing" issue. Try to follow the troubleshooting steps found in this article in the Lexmark website: Error Message: 'LexmarkCUPSDriver Quit Unexpectedly...', 'LexmarkCUPSDriver Failed...', and 'Color Tables Missing' on the Mac OS X v10.6.x.

There can be some situations when the printer installer will not work on the computer. Sometimes there is a fault in the CD or sometimes there is a fault within the program. In any case, the printer can still be installed on the computer using the Add Printer Wizard feature of Windows. The wizard lets you choose the port where the printer will be connected as well as other settings of the printer. or get more help from here . Hope this helps you.

I am having the exact same problem. Just got my cartridge refilled, and whenever I hit the print command, I keep getting the message "printer cartridge missing." It's obviously there! gaahhh, so annoying! I hate dell.

Looks like we got DC'ed on the chat again. What version of IE are you using? Did you try installing or reinstalling IE8?

Tried printing a test page,if u have old cartridge try connecting it, or try uninstalling and reinstalling printer driver.

Sounds like a corrupt driver / software install. Try reinstalling the drivers and application software from the disc you got along with the printer.

The newer versions of QuickBooks should be able to read the older versions files. You may get a message about updaing the data.
Many people have been reporting issues with Xp after service pack 3 came out, and was then pulled by Microsoft.
If your system did get the service pack 3 update, it may actually take a microsoft tech to undo the update successfully.

Uninstalling and reinstalling normally works. Do you use a regcleaning program at all. would recommend you do as the good ones (Uniblue suite, Regcure, Regmechanic) clean up your registry and removes invalid reg files. So b4 reinstalling AVG try a recleaner first, then re-install. Also try googling your error number as you are not alone with this prob.
