This is a simple problem. It means that the batteries are too weak. Replace them with fresh ones and you will see this problem disappear. Good luck!

My sony Camera (DSC -W110) is showing "Turn the power off and on again" while switch on the camera,it appers again & again after switching the camera on and off

I'm sorry that the Camera is displaying the error message. "TURN THE POWER OFF AND ON AGAIN" displays on the LCD screen when the Lens Mechanism is stuck or when affected by any malfunction. If turning the power on and off again does not resolve the error message, try doing a power reset. Please follow the below steps to perform a power reset.

· Turn off the camera.

· Remove the battery pack.

· Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.

· Allow the camera to remain without power for 60 seconds.

· Reinsert the battery pack.

· Turn on the camera.

Also tryinitializing the Cameraif you're able to access the Menu items on the Camera. The Initialize option will be available under Setup or Main settingsSub Menus.

If the issue persists again, service is required. Please click hear to locate the service center near your area.

Thanks for understanding. Please let me know if your require any clarifications.

I formatted the lexar 48mb compactflash card

Hi there.
Take the card out of the camera while it is off, then turn it on again, if the camera works fine turn if off again and insert the card, (make sure that the write protect is off) and turn the camera on again, it may let you format the card again.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!

"turn off and on again"

a few weeks ago i dropped my camera in the sea and i thought, ****. i was in the same boat, so i opened the shutter myself and turned on the camera and it works and takes pictures but the shutter wont close again so if you can make sure you have no dirt in your lense and you can manually open the shutter yourself it may work and if it stops turning on all together keep charging it and once it goes green turn the switch off and on again until it always turns green then it should work again.
