Question about RCA MM32110 TV

1 Answer

Loose Picture (Goes completely Black)

RCA MM32110 televison purchased 4 to 5 years ago. Picture will come on then will go black. It losses green and blue color (turns red) for a second before quickly fading away. I can change channel or turn set off then on and picture will be fine.. then go black again....sometimes within seconds sometimes plays for several minutes... sound is fine when picture disappears... HAD set diagnosed and was told that the dual layer video board needed to be repaired and it would cost $550... Seems way out of line!!!!!!!!!

Nothing special about that board as I cant seem to find that # but If my memory serves me correctly it sounds like a crt board and its a simple soldering job on the crt socket?? Altough Im not there to see the set still 550.00 seems like an awfull lot to repair a set even if they have to replace the entire chassis. I think you should cal rca and take it to an authorized RCA repair center and if the shop you took it to was an rca authorized center I would also report that to them(RCA). Good Luck

No video but sound on my tv. When I reset it the picture shows for a sec then goes off. This happens every 20 sec or so for about 4 times then goes back to black

You have either bad LED lamps in the panel or its possible you have power supply issues as well, but generally its the lamps that fail

RCA D56W20, Works OK, so long as the "black level"

The green CRT has an issue and will need to be replaced. It could be the Green CRT drive board but doubtful as your describing the classic sign of a CRT thats developing a Short . You can get replacement green CRTs and CRT drive boards from www.tvrepairworld.com

RCA mm32110 picture turn to blue and white like you have blue sunglasses on.

I'm not familiar with this set but it sounds like your blue crt has shorted out and is putting out so much color that it overwhelms the other colors. Is the picture also washed out? If so then your blue crt is bad. Probably not worth fixing. Let me know more about what the picture looks like.

17 yr. old 35" RCA loses color intermittently. Picture & sound ok

Three guns Red Blue and Green in the picture tube of an old CRT set. If one of the guns goes out it effects that color. Sounds like one of the guns inside of the tube is going out, To costly to replace for such an old antilog set that will have to have a convertor box next month anyway.

Sounds like power supply. Probably time for a new tv. You have already got almost 20 years service.
