SOURCE: White vertical line on left side of screen
omg, I just figured out why OUR projector was doing this! There was an adaptor plugged into it that we use to hook it up to cable to watch games/tv shows sometimes...once I unplugged that from the projector the lines dissapeared!

your colorwheel is going bad. needs replacment. find an infocus service center and purchase part # 525-0144-00. shouldn't be more than $50, but replacement is pretty involed. you need to remove the top case, front and back covers, power boards, plate, lamp house assembly, and fans just to get to where the colorwheel is plugged in to the main board. removal of the actual colorwheel is only 3 screws.
SOURCE: We have an InFocus L120 and the is a vertical line
The connection between the main board and the dmd board might have some dust in the connection. If that doesn't work then your dmd board needs to be repaired or replaced. I do projector repairs if interested my ebay id is gtitubro

Again, this sounds like a light tunnel failure. See my other post about this.
I replaced my light tunnel with square brass tubing I picked up at the hobby shop.
SOURCE: Lots of details: LP120 stays on for a minute, then powers off
either the colorwheel motor is not getting up to speed to sync with the dmd chip, the wheel sensor is going, or the power supply needs replacing. you can try to replace them yourself or send it to an infocus authorized service center. try www.avsolutionsny.com . they're pretty good.
