I might not be getting your meaning, but what else could you "play" apart from music files? you can play music, but what can't you do? can you put other files on the device for storage?

One song that I want to play on my mp3 player keep coming up "Format Error". Why is ... You can't, unless you find out WHAT format it is, and install a player that is compatible with THAT format. Apparently, you are trying to play a file that IS NOT MP3. m. 0 ... #2 doesn't really happen often, but it can happen.

Why do i get format error when i put songs from a cd on the eclipse?

Hi,

1. Why do i get format error when i put songs from a cd on the eclipse?
= This is probably because the format that your songs are currently in is not supported by your device. Supported devices on the Mach Speed Eclipse 180 MP3 player are: mp3, wav, and wma. If your music is for example filename.cda, it won't be able to play because of the file format being .cda.

2. I also see the song on the eclipse but it says drm protected and will not play the song.
= When ripping your music, check your ripping options in whichever ripping software you are using that protecting music files is off, this may be the reason why your music cannot play - it may be protected to only play on the computer that ripped(recorded or duplicated) the song.

I had jxd in it songs are not playing i copied songs in jxd in audio file songs r appearing in jxd but not playing i pressed play button "file type error" coming why

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player will create a MP3 music file for each music track. Click on this link for instruction on converting music files to mp3 file format :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files

When I down load music it will not play ,I get a format error message. What do I do

Hi a nite377...

Your player takes a certain format to play the music that you want to put into it.
It is telling you format error because the music you are trying to put into it is not the right format to play on you mp3 player.
You will need to download and install a format converter.
It will take the format of your songs that you want to put on it and convert them to the right format for your player to play.
Once you have the songs converted to the format you need, then download them to your player and they should play in your player when selected.
Go to the following website and download install and run a FREE (no strings attached) file converter.
Please take time to rate me thumbs up

I put music into the player but it dosnot come up on my music list

Hi, i think the format of the music downloaded into the mp3 player is not the right format for the player...

You will need to know the right format before you can be able to play music .
You can know the format of the music file that can play on your mp3 player by Checking any music inside the mp3 player details that plays and convert any file that you want to put inside the mp3 player ..
If you don't have any converter, you can download any converter of your choice from the below link>:

Hope it helped..

Cant get music

I have this nasty little player too, and it has caused a lot of grief including suddenly zapping all the files I'd put on it inluding the stuff that Laser pre-loaded into it. Be warned, this player is very prone to errors so it can't be relied on.
If it is under warranty you can take it back. Otherwise you will probably have to look at reformatting the player. Not a big job, but before you do this, copy everything off it onto your hard drive.
Reformat by connecting the player to your computer and finding it under My Computer. Right-click on it's name, and select 'Format'.
Format it in Fat32 which will probably be shown as the default in the Format window.
When it's finished you should be able to reload the player with a bit of music, then disconnect the player and test to see if all is ok.
Laser have a website if you google it, and a simple Faq. Writing to them about the problems with the player and seeking some solution brought no response for us. Good luck. When it's working you can forgive it the grief it causes.

When I try to play music downloaded from Virgin my Tevion mp3 player comes up Format error. How do I get the music to play?

Format error means that you are not playing the file extension which is supported by your mp3 player ,it should be .mp3 extension.
for eg if your song name is let the music play.it should be as let the music play.mp3
if you are unable to see .mp3 extension
goto my computer>tools>folder option >view tab > uncheck "hide extension for know file types".
if you have any problem .just reply with a comment so that i can help you further

Good luck
