RCA lya 1072B

Was working fine ~6months. Then out of no where I noticed all the keys not functioning. It does turn on, but won't skip, change modes or anything. (won't shutoff even) It's not locked. I've tried reloading different songs. I've tried reformatting the drives. (internal & flashcard) I've tried without the flash card. I've tried different batteries. I've tried leaving it alone with no-battery... Any ideas ?

my Zune is pernantely locked it won't work at all anymore. is there any way I can unlock it manually??

  • berysNcreme Nov 10, 2008

the only button that really works on it is the ""ON"" button.
everything seems fine except that no other button works. the only way to turn it off is to take the battery out of it. and every time i turn it on, it plays the same song. from where it started

But have you tried resetting it??? Could be that the lock mechanism got activated, and it doesn't respond to the hold/lock button anymore. Does the lock button action feel normal or sticky/too loose/not like it used to be? If so try opening it and give it a clean. Good luck

SOURCE: my mp3 player wont turn on

I suggest you might need to clean up the cantacts of the buttery poles from corrosion or it could be they are broken or out of place

SOURCE: frozen

Please try to reset the player and see whether it helps.
This could be done by inserting a paper clip into the reset hole and press and hold for about 20 seconds. This should unfreeze the player.

All the best!

SOURCE: RCA M4304 mp3 player wont charge even when plugged in

As long as your computer can see the player, it is likely the firmware has gotten corruped.

First, connect your player and back up any important media items that are on it.

Next, download and run the firmware installer from the RCA website:

I cant figure out how to put the tv on video 1

With the remote in TV mode, the input button on the remote should change the source (TV, AV1, etc. depending on the TV).

If the input button doesn't work, try a different code for your TV manufacturer. A code that controls the basic functions of the remote may not control the full set of functions of the TV. For some TVs, you can change the source from within the Menu. (It depends on the TV. I didn't notice if there was a Menu button that will open the TV menu on the RCA RCU600M.)

If none of the codes work, check if your TV has a Source or Input button on the unit. See if that button works.

If you have a different remote, please indicate the model.

I hope this helps.

How do i set the time on this product

Press the Clock Set button on the top of the clock radio. Press either the forward or reverse (skip) buttons to change the time. Press and hold the button to get the time to change faster. Make sure the AM/PM indicator is correct for the current time. Then press Clock Set or wait 5 seconds without pressing a key to exit the time set mode.

You set the alarm time similarly after pressing Wake Time. Make sure the Wake Mode is set to alarm, radio or CD.

The manual for the clock is available at the RCA site: http://www.rcaaudiovideo.com/search/?km=RP5605 .

I hope this helps.

It played dvds just fine and I changed the dvd and it's says loading for a long time then it finally just says no disc...i tried changing out dvds but everyone says this. I've only had it 6months

I think that your laser has gone wrong. If you have only had it 6months, you should be able to get the unit replaced, as new electrical goods hold a 1 year warranty.

Getting started with the ICOM IC_R5

First set the squelch (gets rid of the hissing noise and allows the radio to scan)
to do this....

On the side are 2 buttons, the bottom one is monitor.
press and hold then look at the display,
turn the top dial until "AUTO" appears,

The squelch should now keep the radio quiet.

Now the tuning step..
You need to set this because if your radio was on 450.000 and you wanted to listen to 450.012.5 you would miss it if your radio was making 000.025 "steps". IE you would need 12.5 steps. This is the most common step used by ambulance etc in the UK, you will need to check local band plans.
Stick with 12.5 and you should get most stuff on VHF / UHF.
For airband 12.5 will get most stuff, but some is now changing to 8.33.
For HF (below) 136 Mhz I'd use 5

To set the step....

On the front there are 4 big buttons.
press [V/M.S.MW.SKIP] to select VFO mode,
then press [BAND.LOCK] to select the band you want to listen to,
then press [TS.SET] to enter the step
turn the dial to select your step (stick with 12.5 for now)
press [TS.SET] to exit back to VFO mode

To scan...

First set the scan type...
On the front there are 4 big buttons.
Press and hold the one that says [MODE.SCAN] for 2 seconds and look at the display,
turn the top dial until the screen reads ALL,
press [MODE.SCAN] again and the radio should start to scan with the 12.5 steps you set earlier.
If you want to change scan direction, just turn the top dial.
If you want to stop the scan, just press [MODE.SCAN].

When you hear something interesting, make a note of the frequency on the display.

To set memories (store frequencies).....

On the front there are 4 big buttons.
press [V/M.S.MW.SKIP] to select VFO mode,

to get close to the frequency you made a note of, press [BAND.LOCK]
Then set the actual frequency with the top dial,
press and hold [V/M.S.MW.SKIP] for 2 seconds to select memory write mode (1 short and 1 long beep)
turn the top dial to select which channel you would like to overwrite. Start with 01.
press [V/M.S.MW.SKIP] for 2 seconds. ( 3 beeps )

Thats it!

Any more problems just post on here and either me or someone else will help.

Channel keeps skipping on rca t.v

Problem with channel skipping has rectified itself. I simply unplugged the set and and started over with remote intructions on signal and channel setting. The tv was also turning itself off and on, this also has ceased. Thanks, hope I don't need you later.
