Washer won't spin

I have a front loading Creda 1200 washing machine which will no longer move into the spin cycle. I have rearranged the weighting of the clothes and have tried several different spin cycles on the dial. Of course when the repair man came last week, it worked perfectly fine without any clothes in the machine. It just clicks through the cycle and then either sits there or eventually turns itself off. Any suggestions? I am located in the US.

Does the machine pumps water out ? Open machine's rear panel and check: - Does the motor spin ? - In case your machine use a belt for drum's movment, check that belt isn't broken or lose. - If your motor doesn't spin at all, check that it receive power. In case it receive power, check for motor's resistace and free movment while turn it by hand. If it dosen't get power its look like a timer problem. Good luck !

Comes up with the sign UE ??

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. The error code UE means there are some heavy clothing is loaded. Rearrange items to help balance the load. If the imbalance is heavy, the washer will make several attempts to restart the spin cycle. If an imbalance is still detected, the washer will stop and will display the error code UE. In case, if the load is small then you need to add 2-5 clothes to balance the load. If the load is out of balance then you need to rearrange the clothes to balance it. Although the Washer has an imbalance detection and correction system but if still the problem persists then it means that it is due to control error and needs to replaced preferably by a qualified service technician.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Creda IWD12 makes noise when spinning but still works ok

Either a concrete balance weight is loose or broken, or the main drum bearings are worn. Spin the drum by hand, and if it feels noisy or rough, then it is the main drum bearings that have failed.

Creda excel 1200 front loading washing machine

This will either be a blocked pressure vessel, or the brushes on the Motor. I am not sure where the pressure vessl is on this model But you will find it buy taking the top of and finding a round or oval shaped component with a plastic tube running from it. carefully pull this tube of and blow down it. it should be clear. unplug machine first.
